When: Three years ago, not long after the announcement of 12-year-old Aravis Tarkheena and bajillion-year-old Ahoshta Tarkaan's engagement.
Where: Kidrash Tarkaan's - manor? Palace? LARGE, IMPRESSIVE HOME.
What: A young, rebellious Tarkheena receives a package from a charming delivery boy.

When she was a small child, Aravis enjoyed receiving packages from relatives or family associates, pushing past the servants' legs to personally receive the parcels. She would stand by the grand-looking main gates, peering out eagerly, tiny fists curled around the bars as she awaited her presents.
This time was different from her days as a carefree child. This time, she was awaiting a gift from a man she found utterly loathsome, the last person she'd want to spend the rest of her life with. Unfortunately, that was exactly what her father expected her to do. Twelve-year-old Aravis Tarkheena stood by the gates begrudgingly, arms crossed and posture rigid and straight. The gauzy veil across her face covered all but her dark eyes, both piercing and guarded.
Aravis definitely didn't want to receive this package in person, but stood expectantly by the gate, more out of habit than anything else.
