Takeshi had heard the approach, his neck straightening as his eyes flickered toward the source of the footsteps and the sound of the voice. He placed it before his eyes found Haru, nearly flinching with the realization. Behind him, the water shifted, creating small, uncertain waves.
"Don't get too close, Sohma," Takeshi cautioned quickly, watching the other carefully. His eyes lowered briefly, attempting to catch sight of the other's hands, before lifting back to Haru's face. His eyes paused on the other's neck and the water behind him made the slightest jump, splashing a few drops of cold water onto the dark hair. "You might get hurt," he warned, willing the unusual emotions away in an attempt to calm the water behind him.
