On to the dress!
This is a vintage dirndl from Munich, Germany, made in about the 1960s. It has withstood the times well, and is a truly excellent find. I really adore this peace and would not be selling unless it was dire.
The dress was manufactered by Miinchen 25. It is a German size 40. Please use a conversion chart for a translation.
The measurements I took were:
Dress length (from top of shoulder to hem line): 40 inches.
Waist circumferance: 30 inches.
Underbust cirucmferance: 32 inches. (this is more of a rib cage measurement).
Please note! The metal medallion pictured weighs the front of the dress down. If it were removed, it would not do this. I left it on because I thought it was unique and culturally cute, but if you wish to remove it, it will relieve the weight on the dress. :)
(Please excuse the non-matching shirt. It's all I had! ;_;). The frayed strings shown in some pictures are from the blouse, NOT the dress! I didn't notice them until after I uploaded the pictures haha.
