[OOC: Right. Everyone who can see this right now should be aware of the Uber-Sekrit Plans (if you aren't, I've made a mistake, so let me know). We have here the Valentine post. It's non-canon, completely voluntary, just like I Never (remember I Never? Wasn't that fun?). Bend the laws of space and time, be with your loved one(s), give gifts you

An Apple In Time
On a malleable and octagonal morning, Gwendal sat on the boat. It was Valentine's Day and he was all alone. His finger ached in sorrow for the secret love that he could never share. How could he expect Murata to love someone with a fluffy tongue?
Desperately, he began to recite a poem he had composed. "Ah, my love is like a glinting slippery lamppost, all on a summer's day. I wish my Murata would shove me, in his own fragile way..."
"Do you?" Murata sat down beside Gwendal and put his hand on Gwendal's neck. "I think that could be arranged."
Gwendal gasped nervously. "But what about my fluffy tongue?"
"I like it," Murata said secretively. "I think it's moist."
They came together and their kiss was like a bull claiming a heifer on the first day of Spring.
"I love you," Gwendal said evilly.
"I love you too," Murata replied and shoved him.
They bought a horse, moved in together, and lived hornily ever after.
Secretively ( ... )

He dares.
In the spirit of the day, he leaps from behind the concealing birch and calls, "Hei~ka~!" Mindful of his white garb, he drops to one knee upon the damp lawn. "As is the custom of your world on this day, I offer my heart, symbolized by these coloured sheets of paper."

Gwen is blurry but he can pick him out, and finding his glasses gives him a better view of the scene. Everything looks like a picture in a catalog, or a movie scene: warm, glowing candles, dark red roses, the light that makes the fruit glisten and that turns blue eyes nearly as black as his own. Impressive. Lovely.
Murata rolls onto his stomach and stretches. He props himself up on his elbows, the blanket slipping down around his hips as he whistles appreciatively. "Smells good."

When Murata leans over the edge of the bed to get a closer look, the older Mazoku shifts onto his knees, stretches across the food and brushes his lips lightly over the Sage's forehead. He encourages his partner to curl up on the mattress before moving the fondue pot to a folding table beside the bed. The smaller plates are quickly arranged in a semi-circle within easy reach before Gwendal settles beside Murata and smiles.
"Your double may have mentioned something about a holiday," he admits with a blush. "And I thought it would be nice for us to have a bit of fun. Happy Valentine's Day," he adds slowly, sounding the words out carefully. Carefully keeping his fingers clean - for now, at least - he selects a segment of orange, dips it in the molten chocolate, and offers it to the Sage.

"Mmm, and to you," he replies, though his eyes are focused on the other's fingers as they disappear into the pot, then reappear with a dripping, chocolate-covered orange piece. He eagerly accepts the treat, sighing happily as the sweet and tart blossom over his tongue.

His lips curved up into a predatory smile as he allowed the door to swing shut behind him.
::Val-en-tine's Day. Do you know, my heart, I do not believe you have....?::
Moving forward, there was a slight resistance as he crosses the lines of force but he was too focused on the sight spread out before him to do more than register it (and lock the door with an snap of his fingers).
::And truthfully, I can think of many other things I would rather do with you than talk about a human holiday.::

:: Truthfully, beloved, so can I, but suffice it to say that it is a day for celebrating love and unions.Edwyn moved backwards slightly and slowly until his calves touched the bed before sitting and bringing his lover with him. He would not talk or think of time limits or partings. Now was a time for celebration, for rejoicing and he was determined that he would see his lover satisfied in every way possible ( ... )

The feeling of smooth, soft skin where he is expecting a scar makes him break the kiss to look down. His thumb rubs small circles on unblemished skin as he looks more closely at his beloved.
His mundane senses show him a stranger with his beloved's eyes - too lean, too smooth, too tall. He can feel Edwyn's presence all around him, and half-closes his eyes as his hands start to explore.

As he watched a pair of young children, a boy and a girl, playing in the fields he found himself smiling absently. They were so carefree.
He wished he could laugh like that. There was so little to laugh about now.
He heard a loud, familiar cough behind him. He turned to see Anissina standing by his desk with some kind of shiny object on it's surface.
"Don't worry. I didn't make them, just wrapped them." "An earth tradition?" He echoed as he walked towards her. His dark blue eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of her cheeks and he chose to ignore the shiny object for now. Best to wait to see if it blew up first ( ... )

"No, Gwendal. I was a little rushed getting here, that's all." She smiled up at the slightly older man.
She brushed his hand down, catching it slightly, just for a moment but longer than usual.
"I swear, Gwendal, you worry more than the rest of the people in the kingdom combined. You need to relax more..." Anissina paused for a second, before leading the man back around the desk to his usual seat.
In a matter of seconds she had pushed him down and placed the shiny package in his hands.
"... which is what gave me the idea for your present."
She walked around him to the other side of the chair and pushing some papers aside, sat on his desk, her feet resting on the very corner of his chair.
"I guessed that you wouldn't trust like something that I made myself. They seem to make you a little skittish for some reason. Anyway... I decided to pick you up a little something in town ( ... )

He took a deep breath to keep himself calm. Carefully he unsealed the silver wrappings. He blinked in surprise at the harmless object.
"It's a book," he observed glancing up at her in confusion.
He looked back down and read the title, a small smile forming at the corner of his lips. He opened the small leather bound book to discover an endless supply of knitting material.
"Thank you Nissa-chan," he told her softly. He closed the book and opened the drawer of his desk without saying another word.
He pulled out a medium sized red box and placed it on the desk beside Anissina's hip. "I spoke with Yuuri about this Valentine's Day celebration."
He looked up and smiled, "I have a gift for you as well."
He leaned back in his seat and placed one of his hands casually around Anissina's ankle, his blue eyes were twinkling mysteriously.
