The red wine definitely gave it a distinctive taste. BUT it would probably be good with red wine vinegar, red grape juice, tomato juice, or even just plain water.
Hey, just wanted to say that I made this tonight, and it turned out delicious! I was a little confused at first why you wanted us to saute 1/2 an ounce of mushrooms, but I investigated the original website and realized it was meant to be 1/2 a pound. ;) Thanks so much for sharing!
