I was reading up on the People Power revolution on Wikipedia, and I came across this description of Filipinos entering Malacanang Palace immediately after Marcos and his family fled:

i think a lot of citizens were astonished at how rich the marcos family was. i'm sure they freaked out when they saw imelda's shoe collection.
