Rainstorm moving in.

How different was day-to-day life in the homeland compared to the US?
Did you find a big change in terms of diet? And where has the better grub?

Daily life in Manila, for the average middle class joe, is pretty much the same as in any other big city. People wake up, take the jeepney and/or the bus to work, work, then go home. ( Read more... )

The food looks great! This past weekend I walked through a small Filipino festival being held in downtown TO and picked up an awesome skewer of pork - it was tasty and well worth the money as it was pretty much a butterflied boneless porkchop on a stick. You Filipinos know how to eat!

Sisig! My favorite! I don't know which resto you're referring in DC but hell yeah I'm down! Den unfriended me on Facebook so I don't think he'll want to eat with me but that just means more food for me and you! lolz

yeah, now that i think about it, that TV program i mentoned even showed the storefront of that sisig place in daly city. it was a small take-out-looking place in what looked like a strip mall or something. if you find it let me know. we're there dude. my fiance's best friend lives in daly city, too. she and her family moved there a few years ago.
