Two Weeks To Go

Well, it is officially two weeks until the Wii is released on North American shores.  Less than that until I am camping out in front of my local Best Buy, because I'm fucking retarded for Nintendo.

The sad part is that, while I am *excited*, I am in no way as excited as I was for either the GameCube or the Xbox 360.  How fucked up is that.  I ( Read more... )

i have never camped out first day for a console or title, and i don't think i ever will. in this case i'm not that excited about either, mostly because i'm depressed that the 360 might "win" this one. i also agree with your feelings about the Wii; as much as they are stressing innovative gameplay, the fact that it's an overclocked gamecube makes me worried that it might turn out more gimmicky, something that i was never worried about with the DS. in the end people who are used to video games will probably end up playing a lot of stuff with the regular controllers.

i have a feeling that Trauma Center will be ridiculously difficult on the Wii, more so than on the DS. when you have the nunchuck sitting in your hands you will understand what i mean.

I actually hear that Trauma Center feels pretty good on the Wii because you don't have to move the remote to select your tools, you shake the nunchuck ( ... )

my thoughts on the wii exactly. believe me, i am never one to care about graphics like that, but when you're trying to delve into a battle like this, it helps to bring a sword like everyone else.

but i have a feeling that Nintendo is going to bring out a Wii 2.0 within the next two years. i don't think they have the luxury of spending time getting things right for next next gen. for now i'm just going to sit back and relax.
