I'm trying to be better about reconciling my beliefs to my practices, and vice versa. I thought that animal rights article was annoyingly naive. I wanted to say, look, buddy, you're not the first person who's asked Peter about humane farming practices, OK? He's heard of it before. And how he pointed out that what mattered was suffering and not killing, per se--well, yeah, Peter Singer's been willing to concede that point for at least the 3-and-a-half years that I've known him. He doesn't concede it happily, but he realizes that in a calculus of suffering, a humane death free of suffering can not really have a moral content in its own right. Grrr, self-important NYTimes reporter. Grr. And that whole stuff about how we are denying a part of our nature by eating animals, that was just ludicrous, and I couldn't detect anything distinctly moral in that argument at all. Grr

Girl, I get you on the meat thing. I just don't think about it, unless I'm already depressed.
Oz is definitely hot, though. I watched the episode where he returns to find that Tara and Willow are involved. There's the one scene where Riley is rescuing him from the Initiative, and Riley is so big and Oz is so tiny. Oz is hot because he's tiny. And his teeth are crooked.
Yeah Oz is skinny too. That's hot too. And a lot of the boys on Buffy are quite attractive. Joss was saying how it never quite worked having Xander as the dork because he's good-looking. Well he was. Giles is attractive too. Although not in a very sexual way, I guess. I'm going to rate Buffy guys.
Spike Oz (ok this is where the hotness really ends I guess) Giles Riley

i have no comment about the animal rights article, but i would like to say something about etiquette. i'm all for etiquette. it's great. i think everyone should have good manners, and i get pissed off when someone doesn't. i think it's fine if i judge them, becuase that's my right, especially if they're doing/not doing something that makes me mad because it makes me feel like they are disregarding my pressence and only thinking of themselves. i think etiquette is wonderful because it helps to bring a bit of order to our disorderly (oscene, careless, disgusting...) society
