i would not recommend jane eyre. i saw the play and it sucked, so i'm guessing that the book would be horrible as well. the book could be better than the play, but the whole plot was so bad so i don't know how much better it could get.
I'm assuming these are summer reading/watching lists?
To the lighthouse is really cool, but I'm also a Woolf dork. Things Fall Apart is an awesome book and something you should definitely read, but it makes the world seem like a horrible place for a little bit after you read it.
Eternal Sunshine is one of my favorite movies.
I want to read a bunch of the same books and watch a bunch of the same films.
haha i love that you're a Woolf dork. After I finish TTL i'm probably going to hunt you down and make you discuss it with me. in fact, since you want to read/watch a lot of these too, we should just have regular chats. like a bookclub.
i will put magnolia, kundera, and kingsolver on my list part deux. the bell jar and closer i've already experienced. thanks for the recommendations! :)
i really do need to read the poisonwood bible. everyone says it is amazing.

i recommend:
books - the unbearable lightness of being, milan kundera; the bell jar, sylvia plath; the poisonwood bible, (forgot her name... surname starts w k)
films - closer; magnolia (if you haven't already seen them)
you have good stuff on your list, i might need to refer to it too :)
