Enroute to NOLA the timing belt of the corolla decided to go bye bye shredding the engine in the process. I feel devestated at the loss of the vehicle but grateful that I am alive and well, managed to coast the vehicle thru traffic 3 lanes and just making an exit ramp and rolled to a strip bar parking lot (Gold Cup). I have scrapped the idea of going to NOLA for now, i got this pending automotive issue to resolve that is going to take time and money, so i think its best to focus on this and shelf the idea of heading out there all together for the time being.

Do you know anyone who is a member of AAA? They may have a clause about towing you home, if that home is in Austin, that might save a bit.
