I was tossing and turning in bed last night deciding whether or not I should really go through with testing for the new Isa and Terry book. I can't afford to gain any more weight. I also can't take the cookies to work with me because I work at a weight loss center, can't give them to my boyfriend for his work because he basically works by himself, can't give them to my moms boyfriend for his work because he only works with 2 other people. Ugh.
i'm lucky that scott works at a giant corporation... *cough*
cookies disappear in mere minutes there. (but i would like to give people i care about first dibs. i just hope the shipping isn't going to be too high for a smallish box. i may have to give the majority to scott to bring to work. especially the lame batches. :-)
Also! I've found with ppk cookie swaps (most of mine are international) that using a bubbled envelope instead of mailing a small box works wonders! I pick up small cookie tins or relative sturdy/lightweight containers at the dollar store and then the envelopes at the post office and they are much cheaper to send.
Before my packages for swaps were 30+$ in shipping for each swap and the last time I sent out 4 different cookie groupings to various parts of the states and only spend near 30$ exactly for all of them.
oh! that's a good idea. thanks. (i do have plenty of bubble mailers from stuff we've recieved. just cover our address with another sticker, and off it goes!)
Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought veganomicon, and tried the PPK portabella stroganoff for the first time this weekend. I've always been a kinda vegan kinda vegetarian occasional fish eater and very very rarely meat eater when im at someone's house and their mom cooks for me and its too rude to say no type of eater.
in the past few years, ive noticed that i generally am happier eating more vegan, and even am interested in raw vegan (although that's not sustainable long term full time for me). do you actually know isa and terry? i know they had ljs for a while, im so sad that i missed that stage b/c it would have been cool to actually get to know them through lj. anyway just wanted to introduce myself. :)

we're not best buds or anything, but internet acquaintances, yeah.
as for the 'nomicon, try the chickpea cutlets and miso tofu stew. those are nom-nommy! and the chocolate walnut cookies. mmmmmmm.
if you wanna get to know them go ahead and sign up for the forums. they're cool cats. (isa posts much more often than terry does) theppk.com
