Ok so there is a dissagreement here at work over shirt sizes (they gave us free shirts today)

Is the size XL and 1XL the same thing or are they different

what about 2XL and XXL ?

I may be dumb about this but I thought they were the same thing.

When in doubt, get the next larger size ;)

I'm usually XXXL/3XL in shirts, except the set of shirts I ordered from T-Shirt Hell. It seems I should have ordered XXXXL/4XL 'cause the 3XL/XXXL shirts are all tight :(

2xl and xxl are the same thing, 1xl should be slightly bigger than xl, it all depends on the maker tho, when I worked at casual male that's how things were.

I worked at Big Dogs Sportswear for a few years and this was our size scale on shirts: Adults S, M, L, XL, and XXL then the Big and Tall selection started at 1X which was "Almost" equal to an Adult XXL just a bit longer for the taller daddies (they're all daddies). Then 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X. 2X was most certainly different (larger and longer) than a regular adult XXL. Granted, different stores may use different scales and such, so I'm just poiting out what I had at Big Dogs (which is a relatively well-known store amonst the bears). Hope this helps.
