As a Christian, Holy Week is probably my favorite week of the year. It starts with the majesty and anticipation of Palm Sunday, moves through the fellowship of Lent's only celebratory major festival, Maunday Thursday, on to Good Friday when, although its uncomfortable, we reflect on the fact that Jesus died not only an execution but a particularly painful and torturous execution not for anything he'd done, but for worthless sacks of shit like me, then it culminates with Easter, the highest festival in Christianity, when we celebrate the fact that even death couldn't hold Jesus, and that he's defeated sin, death, and Satan on our behalf
