I'm half tempted to get back to regular LJ updates, especially since MySpace is pretty much obsolete and Facebook has become a total monster these days. I don't use LJ nearly as much, but it's still best when I need to talk something out with a small group of friends and not worry/confuse my Dad or my ex's family.
It's also good for that historical perspective, to go back and see where you were a year ago... 5 years ago. FB can't give you that!

I have used my LJ maybe four or five times in the last two years, but I think I'll go back to using it, more to share my real feelings, not that I feel I need to hide them per se, but mainly because there are certain issues I'd rather not discuss with my parents, my pastor, former college professors, assorted family members and family members of various exes, coworkers, bosses, etc. Facebook serves well to communicate trivial matters to the whole world, but LJ works much better when you really want someone to listen to you.
