"The problem with a lot of the people I've met who are "romantic" is that they don't really treat the object of their affection as a real person. More like a prop in the romantic fantasy! Joey comeau= love.

Three cheers for asofterworld!

And yea, that does happen. I always tell my bf "Quit being an insensitive asshole, cuz I love you!"
But half of romance is personalized foolish fantasy, no matter who its applied to. Why do guys get their girlfriends red roses and always assume we'll go googly-eyed? Because in their perfect fantasies, all it takes to win any girl is some half-arsed poetry and a bunch of plants. Its how romance works.

I believe I am in the minority in that I enjoy boys that are insensitive assholes. Romance is weird. I don't enjoy it at all....hahaha.

When are you in rva again, btw?
