A Party DITL!
On Saturday, July 26, I threw myself a birthday party!
Good morning, Remy
I settle down on the couch with my latest magazine
While husband watches the Tour de France
Husband takes out dog; I turn on The Nanny
Piper hangs out with me
I begin the cleaning of downstairs by gathering all the magazines from various places and piling them on my nightstand
I guess I should make the bed, since nobody's getting back into it for a while
There's a cat under that dog bed
And then it's shower time
I decide that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the best shirt for the day
And into the car
Pit stop for gas
Then pit stop to pick up Daddy! I hate that "For Sale" sign.
He accompanies me to the farmers' market! I was tempted by some muscadine cider slushy
Welcome Y'all! No way to avoid this pic being photobombed
Not pictured: lunch with my parents. Oops.
Upon returning home, I turn half of my purchases into this beautiful fruit salad
I made the cookie cake the day before, so all I had to do was decorate it!
Yes Remy, you may have some frosting
And then I Facebook for a bit (featuring my friend's new kitten!)
Logan has decided to be lazy before company comes
Yup, more Tour de France
Apparently two thirds of the animals are in here
Sadly, making things causes dishes
And then I turn this mess
Into this lovely kitchen island!
Clean all the kitchen!
Another farmers' market purchase, set to become pizza
Laundry is done before guests arrive
Sir Long Cat says that it's kitty naptime
I set out everything that doesn't need to be cold
Then chill with my Kindle for a while
About 10 minutes later, I finish setting up the island
Including this sign
I always have good intentions of taking pictures at parties, but I failed yet again. Here are people eating dinner.

Shockingly, Piper went to Bruce for some pets of her own
Then dessert comes out! We had leftover strawberry cake that my mom made for a family celebration, leftover peach crisp that I made during the week, the cookie cake and the fruit salad
I didn't quite get all the candles in one breath, but I'm pretty sure my wish will come true :)
Carter enjoyed his mom's arm for dessert
When everyone leaves, there are more dishes. Well, cups and glasses and serving things. Everything else was plastic!

Birthday presents! My best friend got me that awesome car sticker that says "A Little Bit Yankee, A Little Bit Y'all." It's so perfect for me! And if anyone knows how to use that Stone Wave thingy, let me know! It didn't come with instructions!
Upstairs for bedtime routine, starting with the toothbrush
I like the way my hair looks after it's been in a braid all day
