I think it's so idiotic how weird the British are about people with red hair. Either red heads are the devil, or you can't make a joke about red heads without being considered racist

If I had to guess, I'm thinking that the red head genes are linked to Scottish and Irish heritage, both groups being a bit smacked around by the anglo-saxons that make up the majority population of England proper. So it might be a bit persecution fetish, tinged with a latent nationalist movement.

Or it could be people like being petulant children.
