hey. asians nowadays have branched out so much farther than just being a doctor. I'm an english major and only two of my asian friends are pursuing pre-med, while a lot of other people are doing architecture, poli sci, stuff like that...

older asian women are still stuck in the old-fashioned mind frame.
it's a new generation. don't think you have to fit the model minority sterotype.
social work is respectable. you're going to help so many people through it.
and 4.0 is SWEET. i wish i could get straight As. good job =] at everything.

still, i love reading about your thoughts, even when they make me a little sad. so my mom actually considered majoring in social work once upon a time, but settled on childcare instead.
