Only Chuck would be able to take 24 short stories he has written over the years and quilt them together into a seamless 400 page novel. Twenty-four unrelated topics blended together to make something close to a masterpiece

read it all, he is the best! he and jonathan carroll.
so far I am now on page 200 only halfway through and I think he already must have the world record at this point for cramming the most fucked up, and awesome, ideas into one book.
The only thing that i actually read by him is Invisible Monsters. Part of it, i think, stems from the fact that i don't buy new books. i like Goodwill, garage sales, rummage sales, etc. and nobody gives UP CHUCK. My friend keeps saying she wants to lend me Lullaby. Great books are amazing. The book i started is called Black & Blue and the book's first sentence is "The first time my husband hit me, I was 19." Very intense and a page-turner. i'm rambling now- i think cause i'm nervous about my job interview. Anyhow-- what's your FAVORITE book by Chuck P.?
My favorite book by Chuck is Survivor. The first two chapters are the best opening to a book....well....ever.
My favorite book by chuck, as far as concept goes, is Lullaby.
My favorite book by chuck, as far as plot goes, is Invisible Monsters because it all weaves itself together in the end, oh so deliciously. Oh, and that book, by far, had the most "quotable quotes" in it.
The book I'm reading now, Haunted, might be my favorite because of the overall content. He crams two decades worth of short stories together into a "quilted" novel. I don't know if any book in the world that is 400 pages long can give you close to as many mind fucks.
so um...yeah....I guess my favorite books are NOT Choke or Diary or Fight Club, if that helps.
