Ah, I'd forgotten about the Creative Common Publisher device. I'll definitely be putting some video on this infernal internet sometime in the future, then.
I have problems with archive.org being that any content that says it can be streamed, that I then click to be streamed, won't stream. I want to stream my movies but not sure if I upload to archive.org that they'll work. I can't get anything to stream on the site and no one answers my steaming questions in their forums.
I figure being able to stream the movie would be better than having people download files in large chunks. I know I'm more likely to watch something if I can stream it rather than having to wait to download the whole thing.
I can say that I, and almost everyone i know would far far far prefer to download the file than to stream it. same amount of data is downloaded, but one i can watch again and again, and if my bandwidth is tapped up downloading other things, i dont have to watch it all choppy.
Flickr is definatly cool. Easy to use and flexible. You can upload right from your phone, e-mail them in, or when it sends in have it post automatically to your Live Journal. Its like you barely need a computer =)
