So instead of writing essays for the NSF fellowship, for the last 20-odd minutes I've been reading about algebraic geometry in Dummit and Foote (I'm on the Zariski topology right now) while listening to Radiohead. I'm not sure I could think of a more satisfying way to spend a Monday night.

Heh, I was reading that chapter some time last week. And just an hour ago I wrote down the word "idealization" in the course of brainstorming some comments for lit seminar tomorrow and immediately wanted to drop that and go back to reading about ring theory and alg geo.

God damn, I can't wait until this semester is over and I can do some math again. *sigh* Back to lit, I suppose...
