So on Friday I made it to work a little after 7:30, the earliest I have so far. And then, after an hour, the power went out. Apparently a truck crashed into something nearby and took out power to the block. So I got the day off, and took great delight in going to see two movies--Ray and Bad Education, the latter the new Almodovar film--and spending ( Read more... )

What did you think of Bad education? I want just basic impressions (worth money vs. not worth money) for now. I saw Kinsey with Morgan at the Harvard exit before atlanta and noticed it was playing there, so I might try to see it before the end of break.

I know what you are talking about with the lack of color thing. Somehow it seems darker than it ever has before at this time of year. I have consulted several outside sources and your disallusionment in that respect is not unusual.

I was actually really tired during that movie and dozing off for little snipets here and there. I understood the plot, but it made it really hard to get into the movie. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I may not be the best person to ask. I'd still recommend it, though; I've really liked some of Almodovar's previous stuff (especially Talk to Her; have you seen that one?), and this one has received fairly positive reviews.

If you decide to see it, and do so somewhat ahead of time, let me know when you're going. I'd like to get another crack at it, and I might try to join you. Also, what did you think of Kinsey? I'm moderately interested in seeing it, too, so...yeah.

ah, i ended up randomnly seeing Bad Education on Friday afternoon. As for Kinsey, I suppose it is too late to give you advice on seeing it in seattle. Perhaps I will see you soon, as I am hesitant to type someting about it (I am a little conflicted about its virtue on a few matters that I wouldn't say I have really worked out for myself yet anyway).

I love you too. But what the hell is BFF? Big fat faker? Badassest fiddler in Florida? Believer in Final Fantasy? The FF is kinda hard to work with. And yes, I am trying too hard.

That was a few sex change operations ago. All the hormones I've had to take have messed with my memories.
