This is what I do in the middle of an RP-US FTA SWOT analysis

Twenty-Four
Switchfoot

Twenty-four oceans
Twenty-four skies
Twenty-four failures
And twenty-four tries
Twenty-four finds me
In twenty-fourth place
With twenty-four drop outs
At the end of the day

Life is not what I thought it was
Twenty-four hours ago
Still I'm singing 'Spirit,
take me up in arms with You'
And I'm not who I thought I was
Twenty-four hours ago
Still I'm singing 'Spirit,
take me up in arms with You'

There's twenty-four reasons
To admit that I'm wrong
With all my excuses
Still twenty-four strong

See, I'm not copping out
Not copping out
Not copping out
When you're raising the dead in me

Oh, oh, I am the second man
Oh, oh, I am the second man now
Oh, I am the second man now
And you're raising these...

Twenty-four voices
With twenty-four hearts
All of my symphonies
In twenty-four parts
But I want to be one today
Centered and true
I'm singing 'Spirit take me up in arms with You'
You're raising the dead in me

Oh, oh, I am the second man
Oh, oh, I am the second man now
Oh, I am the second man now
And you're raising the dead in me

I wanna see miracles
To see the world change
Wrestled the angel for more than a name
For more than a feeling
For more than a cause
I'm singing 'Spirit, take me up in arms with You'
And you're raising the dead in me

Twenty-four oceans
With twenty-four hearts
All of my symphonies
With twenty-four parts
Life is not what I thought it was
Twenty-four hours ago
Still I'm singing 'Spirit,
take me up in arms with You'
I'm not copping out
Not copping out

And because this is a funny interview:

Hangin' Out With Bamboo
Taken from Candy magazine (September 2005)

What made you decide to make "Hallelujah" the first single off of your second album, Light Peace Love?
Bamboo: It's the first song we recorded for our second album. When we released it, we hadn't even finished the album yet. It was just basically the song we had right off the bat so releasing it as our first single came naturally.

Why call it "Hallelujah"? Are you devout Catholics?
Nathan: No, definitely not!
Vic: Ang bilis mo sumagot ah!
Bamboo: There's no specific reason behind the song title. Nagkataon lang.

Who writes your songs?
Bamboo: We all do. We write our songs collectively and get inspiration from random things that happen to us every day.

Have you guys always wanted to be part of a band?
Ira: Yes. I've had a passion for music since I was a baby!
Vic: I had a dog (named Jonard) that I used to hit with sticks. At that time, I was broke so I had to find a way to earn money. I got those two sticks I used to hit my dog with and I used them to learn how to play the drums! Jonard died before I became a professional musician, but I wrote a song for him called "Masaya"... I'm serious! [HAHAHA! Pasaway! Nanloko pa ng tao.]

What's a "rock star" myth you want to bust?
Nathan: We're not all about sex, drugs, and rock and roll! We're not devil worshippers either. But listen to our album backwards, and you'll hear a lot of things!

Can you give a meaning for each letter of your band's name?
Ira: That's easy! B is for Bamboo, A is for Amboo, M is for Mboo... (Laughs) [Labyu Ira! Nanood ka nung episode na yun ng Friends! :D]
Bamboo: B is for Burger, A is for Anchovies... I'm getting hungry already. I can't finish this!
Vic: M is for monkey! I'm sure about that one!
Bamboo: The other B is for butterfly...
Nathan: ... and baboy. No wait, the other B is for bastos. No, that's not it... can it be all Bs? I have so many B words in my head right now.

Who's your dream collaboration?
Vic: I'd want to collaborate with Abdul Rasheed. He's a guitarist from Iraq. Too bad he's dead already.
Ira: Pare, puro mga patay yata ang kinukuwento mo ah! (Laughs) A while ago it was a dog that's dead, now it's a guitarist!
Bamboo: Jack Black or Conan O' Brien. They're not exactly musicians, but I like them anyway.
Ira: Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong of Cheech and Chong. They're hilarious!

Any pre-gig rituals?
Bamboo: I want total silence before a gig. I need to meditate alone.
Vic: I always barf before a gig. Rather than do it on stage, right? [Buti pala di niya sinukahan si Farrah nung nagpa-autograph haha]
Ira: I head to the restroom first.
Vic: We also have this inside joke. Before we perform, we ask each other, "Kill or destroy?" If we all say kill then we kill the crew, but if we say destroy then we burn the stage!
Nathan: We also do some warm up and stretching exercises.

What's the scariest thing a fan has ever done?
Vic: On an out-of-town gig, someone handed me something and told me it was a bomb. It didn't look like a bomb though. It actually looked like a tape recorder but it was making this ticking sound like a bomb. It turned out to be just a prank but it really freaked me out!

Complete the sentence! The last time I cried was...
Nathan: When I watched the movie I Am Sam. [Awww, ang sweet naman ni Lolo]
Ira: We all watched the DVD together. We were wondering why Nathan was covering his face with the blanket, yun pala umiiyak na! (Laughs)
Nathan: Nakakaiyak naman talaga eh!

The last memorable party I had was...
Vic: My last birthday party. Our vice president, Noli De Castro, attended it along with other politicians. I got to share with him my views about certain issues. That was cool!

The last thing that made me smile today was...
Ira: When I woke up to find out that there was no water. I was like, "Yes, 'di ko na kailangang maligo!"

The last trip I took was to...
Bamboo: Bangkok, Thailand with the whole band. We went there to perform for a music festival.

What makes you different from other bands out there?
Nathan: It's hard to explain, but I'll give it a shot. Every band is different from the others in terms of writing their songs, playing their music, and performing live. Bands are like cars. Cars do the same thing but they have different styles.

What's your message for aspiring musicians?
Ira: Like what I always say, kung gagawin niyo, itodo niyo na!
Nathan: Hindi, kung ako sa inyo wag niyo nang gawin. Ayaw naming mapalitan eh! (Laughs)
