I assume they're talking about the Disney cartoon Bambi and not the porn star. If it's the porn star, then I want to see the part of the essay about getting to Ishikawa and seeing Mt. Hakusan.

(Is it Mt. Hakusan, or is it Haku-san? Hakusan-san?)

We all simply call it Hakusan... Japanese people say Fujisan where we say Mt. Fuji... But, to me it sounds strange to say Mt. Haku...

I think calling it "The White Mountain" would be more appropriate...

Yeah. One of the first things we learned in Japanese class was that "san" was an on reading of the character for "mountain", so it always seemed like we were saying "Mr. Fuji", but we weren't. It also tells me that I really need to learn how to type in Japanese in Windows XP. I'm pretty sure I don't need to download anything to make it work, but I pretty clearly need to do something.

It's easy! Just go to the control panel, regional and language settings, languages tab... click on details and add Japanese... if successful a language bar should appear...

put it into japanese mode and Hakusan becomes 白山!

These three sentences are the greatest ever constructed in the English language. I will be nominating this Japanese high school student for the Nobel Prize in Literature, 2007.
