(no subject)
I feel like I'm joining the ranks of actual LOST viewers-- I've been all caught up since mid-December, and so ready to jump into this show. God I love it! I watched the clipshow with Matt and one of his friends who hadn't seen the show, and I felt awesome yet dorky when he would ask us questions, and Matt and I would go into these long ass explanations. When you step back and think about all the connections and backstories, makes you realize how messed up everything is. There is so much to know! Everything means something on that show.
Thoughts about the clip show:
1. No mention at all about the French lady? Is she not important anymore? Where did she go, anyway?
2. The Bernard/Rose reunion still makes me cry, even in its shortened version.
3. Narrator was awful.
4. Thanks for reminding me that I still hate Ana-Lucia, guys. Way to go!
Now, about the episode:
1. Eko PWNS EVERYONE. LOVE HIM. LOVE HIM. LOVE. HIM.
2. I love that Eko was connected to the runner plane. What I still want to know is why he was in Sydney on a plane to LA.
3. Eko's 40 days of not talking has so much more significance now, knowing he's a religious man... He's an example of how when people arrive on the island, they leave their pasts behind and start fresh. Poetic, no?
4. Smoke monster, what?? And it's SCARED of Eko! Well, not interested in Eko, anyway. Hmm...
5. Michael is gonna be sad he shot that tub of ranch dressing. They could've used that for something! You know there's gonna be a moment where they're all gonna die or something, and the dressing is the only thing that can save them ;)
6. Walt: Michael needs to con-WHAT? What did Michael do to the screen? Did he see the rest of the message? Did he delete it because Jack interrupted him?? I NEED TO KNOW!
7. Charlie, why the hell are you messing everything up?? Why does he need 98237428 statues? I wanted him to burn them. I want Eko and Locke to talk about Charlie. They can set up another intervention :)
