Well, I've been thinking about it. And I was going to ask my neighbor out, like as a boyfriend. When I went to his house he wasn't there. I was kind of glad, though I haven't seen him for a week and stuff and I want to talk to him. He is complete opposite than I'm attracted to and that scares me. I like guys in a band, with long hair, usually green

If you like your bestfriend and he undoubtedly likes you back, then maybe that's who you should ask out. I wouldn't worry about what other guys think about it because it's none of their business and there are greater heartbreaks than finding out a girl you have a crush on is going out with someone else. Believe me, they'll get over it. As for the one who claims he loves you... who knows if he really does. Maybe he does, but maybe he doesn't. If you decide not to ask him out (cause it seems like you don't really want to) just let him down easy.
