Relocation Coordination, Day 1

Obviously at this point in my life I can afford to blow10K or so if I have to do so, but I would be lying if I didn't admit that part of the draw of taking a job with a relocation package that would help me out of my current housing situation. Damn I just sent you an email asking you about the relocation coordinator thing, guess I missed this entry yesterday.

Did you end up telling your boss today?

What would it mean to live the same life over and over? I'm not sure I understand. What would keep you from doing that? Moving, or doing something different where you are?

I meant falling into that single professional trap that is the Dallas scene...happy hour and concerts with a crowd that is either diminishing or getting younger and most are boozing their life away in an endless cycle of not choosing mates cause they're secretly insecure about something or another.

If you can't even imagine coming back for a few days on vacation, then why are you living there day in and day out? I agree about it being hard to move somewhere where you don't know anyone. I basically dated the first male non-coworker I met and I suspect the loneliness of being in a new city had a lot to do with it. And that was even with the fact that I liked my co-workers and hung out with them outside of work. My current boyfriend moved to Boston without knowing anyone and it worked out -- but he was miserable for the first 2 years or so.

I think a lot of places are worth visiting that I wouldn't live...like, I wouldn't vacation in Philly or Chicago....
