I have pumpkin spice creamer in my fridge right now
I have definitely been paranoid, although I wouldn't say it's a set trait because it has gone away for the most part. But mine was more like back before cell phones and someone was late I would start thinking they were in an accident, or thinking someone was going to break in the house, and there was one period where I was paranoid about cheating. And there is definitely a difference between letting yourself believe it and have it spiral out of control, and being able to tame it to a degree. Acknowledge it, acknowledge that it is not likely to actually happen, and try to put it away.
This might sound a little wacky, but I found it helpful to tell myself that thinking about it won't change the outcome. Whatever it is, it is. And somehow that seemed to help.
It is harder I am sure when the paranoia comes from past experience, where a part of you is just waiting for that bad thing to happen, for everything to fall apart or whatever.
