Akanishi Jin deposited his school bag on the couch in the living room. First thought upon getting home: kitchen. Glass of water.
It was a tiring day at university. Good thing it was a Friday, so that he could slack off for the night and resume studying brain models the following day instead.
A chopping board lay on the kitchen counter, along with a knife and a piece of cabbage only half-chopped. Jin checked the wall clock. 5 PM. Indeed, his roommate was already home by this time.
Arousal - the ability to suddenly increase alertness
Why would Kame leave the food lying around? Said roommate entered the kitchen, donning an apron and his light brown hair up in a messy ponytail.
“Oh, you’re home,” Kame greeted him expressionlessly, passing by him and taking his spot in the kitchen to resume his work of chopping the vegetable.
“What were you doing?” Jin asked, leaning on the refrigerator and water glass in hand. “Why’d you leave the food exposed?”
Kame threw him a nasty look before setting his eyes on what he was doing again.
“Like you care what happens to the food, Jin,” Kame muttered.
Jin smirked. He liked it when his roommate was annoyed. Not because he liked bothering his roommate, of course. It just so happened that everytime a conversation such as this began, it always ended up in something… hot.
“Yeah, well, I care about what kept you busy,” Jin pressed.
Kame huffed as he opened a cupboard and took out a frying pan.
“I was looking for something to hold my hair up with,” he snapped at Jin.
“It is getting long, isn’t it?” Jin commented, lazily stabbing at keeping the conversation going. He had to study, but he was too amused with Kamenashi to set to work.
“It was all over my face, it’s not easy to chop and cook when it’s like that,” Kame continued. “Well, you wouldn’t know.”
He shot Jin another dirty look as if to say “You never cook.”
Jin settled on one of the benches along the kitchen counter. Neither said another word. Jin quietly watched as Kame shuffled around preparing dinner. Kame was gaining some weight. All the more reason to experiment with his body in bed.
The older man silently observed Kame’s slender wrists move up and down as he continued his work, slicing meat this time. Jin had no idea how or when Kame learned how to cook.
“Pass me the pepper,” Kame said, his eyes on the frying pan.
He had his back to Jin as he added ingredients to the pan on the stove. Jin set down his water glass and grabbed the pepper shaker from the cupboard at the opposite side of the kitchen.
Motor Orientation - facilitation and maintenance of arousal
“Here you go.”
Jin smirked as he spoke in a low voice to Kame’s right ear. He felt the younger man stiffen as he stood criminally close behind him, his hand outstretched to Kame’s front to give the condiment container. Jin felt a hard on coming along as his manhood brushed Kame’s backside, the denim both men were wearing only intensifying the sensation.
“Thanks,” Kame replied in the same passive manner, however.
Jin sat back on the stool, on the same side of the kitchen counter as Kame this time. A few moments later, Kame clicked the stove off and wiped his hands on the kitchen towel.
“Done,” he said, brushing his bangs off of his face.
“It’s cooked?” Jin asked, clueless about cooking.
“Half-cooked,” Kame replied, taking his apron off. “We’ll just have it done later at dinner time.”
Jin sniffed at the air. He had no idea what Kame cooked but it smelled appetizing as always. Like the person who made them.
Kame walked out of the kitchen and in the direction of his bedroom. He emerged moments later with a couple of books and prints. Jin watched hungrily as he settled on the carpeted living room floor, spreading his text on the center table and beginning to read.
Kame had always been more studious than him, and, in the months that they have been roommates, one of Jin’s favorite ways of distracting him was -
“Stop staring, will you?” Kame spoke loudly, never taking his eyes off what he was reading.
The way Kame told him to stop staring, as if it were a command, only made Jin’s pants tighten even more.
“I’m not staring at you,” Jin replied, grinning still. “I’m looking at the table.”
Kame rolled his eyes, still reading.
“Ne, how are your academics anyway?” Jin asked, determined to keep the conversation going.
He knew very well that his workaholic roommate-slash-unofficial-boyfriend loved talking about school and how he needed to perform better to get higher grades. All the usual rants of an already perfect student. Kame was the ideal boy in his college, and all the professors and girls loved him. Jin liked to imagine how they would react if they found out about what usually took place inside perfect-student-Kamenashi’s dormitory room.
“Fine,” Kame replied expectedly.
Oh wait. Grade-conscious Kame saying school is fine? That’s not typical.
“Hora,” Jin exclaimed, rushing to the other side of the living room table to face Kame. “What’s wrong with you?”
“Ha?” Kame reacted, finally looking up.
“You never say anything positive about university stuff,” Jin explained animatedly. “Why is it suddenly - ”
The older man had to hold back a gasp. Or a moan. Or whatever his reaction was supposed to be.
Novelty Detection and Rewards - focus and sustenance of attention
“You had your ear pierced,” Jin whispered, as if beholding a miracle.
Kame grunted and bowed his head back, resuming his reading. Jin scrambled to his side to get a better look.
He found it sexy, but he didn’t get it. Kamenashi, the eternally well-behaved and disciplined boy, had his left ear pierced. Jin closely examined the gold hoop placed securely through the piercing.
This close, it seemed like any other regular earring. But what caught Jin’s attention was actually how it complemented Kame’s angelic face. Like it was a warning sign of god-knows-what-kind-of-secrets Kame kept behind his perfect schoolboy image.
“I’m trying to read here,” Kame said again, raising his head and facing Jin, whose face was mere inches away.
“Why’d you get it?” Jin asked quietly, a mischievous sneer blossoming on his lips.
He did not bother easing the wickedly small distance between them. He felt Kamenashi’s breathing hitch as he spoke his words.
“I - I just felt like doing so,” the smaller man replied, daringly looking Jin in the eye.
“I see,” Jin replied in the same guttural voice.
A few more moments and he leaned in and took Kame’s lips in his, not troubling himself with asking for permission and instead slipping his tongue right into the younger man’s mouth. Kame moaned and closed his eyes. Jin instantly had his hand up Kame’s shirt, pinching his already hard nipple, earning another loud moan.
Jin smiled as he let his other hand travel playfully up Kame’s lean torso and neck, coming to finger the new accessory on the smaller man’s ear. He continued his assault at Kame’s warm mouth, earning sighs and groans, and he unconsciously let out his own hungry moans.
Kame’s hands rested on the carpet, supporting himself against Jin’s actions. The older man made to kneel to provide a better angle for the kiss, but his motion made Kamenashi come around.
“Jin,” the younger man said panting, breaking the kiss. “I have an exam coming up.”
Jin stared in incredulity as Kame straightened out his clothes and went back to reading as if nothing happened.
“It’s a fucking weekend, Kamenashi Kazuya,” Jin growled. “Your exam doesn’t take place until next week.”
Kame nodded but continued to read. His cheeks were red, but he looked determined to finish the whole text book in one night. Jin was frustrated. His pants felt tighter than ever.
Executive Organization - direction and integration of entire attention system
“That does it.”
Akanishi slammed shut the book Kame was reading. They stared at each other for a fleeting moment, a somewhat shocked silence in the air. But Jin suddenly pushed at Kame’s shoulders so that, with a soft thud thanks to the carpet, the smaller man was forced to lie down on the floor. Jin was crouched over him like a predator deciding how to devour its victim.
“Akanishi, I have work to do.”
Jin noted that Kame was trying his best to look bored. His slightly ragged voice and the bulge in his pants indicated otherwise. Jin ground their hips together, earning stifled whines from the man underneath.
Jin made another thrust. With the motion he took both of Kame’s wrists and pinned them to the floor above the smaller man’s head. Kame’s eyes filled with rage and excitement and pleading and whatever else emotion indecipherable. Jin licked his lips.
“Yes, I think we have work to do.”
oOo
If anyone’s wondering, the italicized lines are the four components of attention. I know it’s bad I just had to let it out so thanks for reading! xD
