#1: Kame hates how selfish Jin is.

That’s why they broke up in the first place. Jin wanted to be the best. He wouldn’t let his dreams rest. He would give anything to achieve them, and he managed to prove that he was willing to sacrifice even his relationship with Kame in order to get them.

“You’re leaving the group?”

“Yep. Don’t throw the drama on me, please.”

Kame and Jin were in the former’s living room, with Kame seated at the end of the sofa and Jin sprawled over the length of the furniture, his head using Kame’s lap as pillow. It was their day off and they were watching a random movie.

“Why?”

Kame’s eyes remained glued to the TV, his hands playing with the soft locks of Jin’s dark brown hair.

“What do you mean ‘why?’” Jin shot a look up at his lover.

“Why are you leaving?”

“Because Johnny-san offered to market me in the US?”

“And?”

“The condition was that I have to leave KAT-TUN.”

Kame finally brought his gaze down to meet Jin’s.

“And you’re okay with that?” he asked with a slightly raised eyebrow.

Jin shrugged in response.

“Do the others know about it yet?” Kame asked again, determined not to show that he was hurt.

“I think you all received the news at the same time,” Jin replied, now back to watching the movie.

Kame pushed Jin’s head away from his lap and crossed his legs.

“What?” the older man asked, the tone of his voice somewhat expectant that Kame was upset.

“It’s starting to hurt.”

There was only silence as Jin sat beside Kame and stared, quite unable to believe that the younger man was suddenly explaining his feelings.

“My thighs,” Kame added, pokerfaced.

“Oh.”

Jin slumped back in his spot on the sofa and went back to watching what was on TV, but Kame could tell that he was relieved that Kame was not “throwing the drama” on him.

In truth, Kame did want to lash out at Jin at that time for being an insensitive git who thought of nothing but his own success. He wanted to yell at Jin for deciding to leave KAT-TUN just like that. He wanted to tell Jin that he was stupid for deciding to choose this glitzy offer from Johnny instead of just sticking to the group and being patient about their success. They had been doing quite well anyway. But Jin was a selfish bastard, and Kame knew him well enough to even try and change his mind.

Well, Kame would have none of that. So he ended the relationship to save his pride, and his sanity as well.

#2: Kame hates Jin’s baka sense of humor.

Contrary to what people think, Jin’s “baka” side is not cute. Not cute at all. Sometimes, Kame doesn’t know if Jin was doing it on purpose or he really was just stupid.

Like this one time when they were having sex and Jin suddenly decided to play S, tying Kame’s wrists and ankles to the bedposts despite the younger one’s screamed protests and, eventually, profanities. After managing to trap Kame, Jin proceeded to sit between Kame’s legs and laugh at him. Kame was fuming, but at that moment, he forgot why he was so angry and just stared blankly at the idiotic man in front of him.

Of course, after having his dose of unreasonable laughter, Jin advanced to teasing Kame here and there, caressing his sides, kissing his thighs, playing with his nipples. Jin did everything except touch Kame’s cock, and it sure as hell made Kame impatient, what with Jin merely ghosting his touches over Kame’s neglected shaft.

“Jin - touch me already goddammit,” Kame hissed, bucking his hips to the side where Jin’s one arm was resting as the other continued to explore his torso.

Jin laughed again, and finally kissed Kame’s cock, still giggling stupidly to himself. He takes the shaft into his mouth and runs his tongue over Kame’s length a few times. At last, he unties the younger man, all the while still sniggering. Kame, irritated, did the only thing he deemed would avenge his bruised pride.

With the swift movement of his lithe body, Kame shifted their positions so that he was the one on top. He lathered his cock with his precum, minimum amount leaving the organ still a little bit too dry, and pushed right inside Jin.

“Kamenashi! What the fuck!” Jin cried, writhing in pain.

Kame was usually the uke, so he knew that what he just did would definitely infuriate Jin.

“Still think this is funny?”

Kame pulled back an inch or so, trying to stay sane over the bliss that was Jin’s heat around his penis, because more than the sexual pleasure, he wanted to see Jin in pain just to get back at the older man for laughing at him. Clearing his mind, Kame pushed back in again, and Jin hissed.

“Can’t laugh now, can you?” Kame smirked, his face hovering right above his lover’s.

Jin gripped Kame’s shoulders, his fingernails digging into Kame’s skin.

“For god’s - sake, just move already - Kazuya - please - !”

Before Kame began pounding into the larger man underneath him, making Jin gasp and shudder and shriek his apologies to Kame, the turtle made sure Jin heard his evil laugh.

#3: Kame hates how insecure Jin is.

He is insecure to the point that he was so possessive of Kame, and it made Kame feel trapped in their relationship. Jin saw himself superior in a lot of aspects - like in singing and dancing. But if the matter concerned his lover, it seemed like Jin was afraid that anyone might just win Kame over anytime.

Over the years, he’s become so possessive that even after they broke up, Jin still thinks Kame belongs to him.

“Kamenashi,” Kame heard the soloist from the other end of the line. “Were you really trying to kiss Nakamaru?”

“Seriously, Jin?” Kame replied, too sleepy to bother with the formality of surnames. “You’re calling at 3 in the morning to ask me about that?”

“Well, see here Mister-Perfectly-Innocent, there’s already a leak of the Ultimate Wheels DVD so I’ve seen it and - yes, I’ve seen the PV and the making of it and I’ve seen Nakamaru’s talk and how you - Koki was even watching at the back, you idiot - but seriously - seriously, someone’s got to be leaking these videos on purpose - ”

“Akanishi.”

Jin stopped blabbering, making a sharp intake of breath because Kame sounded annoyed.

“Stop pretending that you’re concerned about the leaks, will you? I tried to kiss Nakamaru because I wanted to see his reaction, and yes, if he didn’t avoid me, I probably would have kissed him anyway. Happy? I’m not interested in you and your American dancers, so I don’t understand why you’re so interested in my fan service. Now, excuse me, I’m going back to sleep. I have a single to release later today. Have a good night - if you plan to sleep at all.”

Kame pressed the end call button before Jin could reply. He smirked into his pillow as he imagined the ugly look of rage that must be on Jin’s face that moment.

#4: Kame hates how Jin is such a flirt with women.

Rumors about Jin and Lizzy are abundant these days, and Kame wasn’t at all surprised. He doubted they were true, though. Despite Jin’s image, he was actually quite careful and picky, and didn’t just have sex with anyone who stood still long enough.

As for Lizzy, Kame thought she definitely was Jin’s type. But Kame knew Jin sufficiently well to know that there was probably nothing going on between them. Jin was just… different when he was around someone he liked. And Kame doesn’t see that kind of Jin when he’s dancing with Lizzy. At most, Jin’s probably just riding the waves of rumors for more self-promotion, being the tactically ambitious bastard that he is.

“How many more rumors like this will come out, then?” Kame angrily yelled in the empty living room, his conversation partner in their shared bedroom.

There was this one time, back when they were still together, when a very well written rumor came out about Jin and a girl caught making out in one of the private rooms of a club. Kame was used to those stories, and Jin swore each time that it wasn’t true, but this was just one time too many.

“Do I have control over the fucking rumors?” Jin shouted back, clearly fuming just as much. “I goddamn don’t. And they’re actually helping, right? It makes me more - heck, even those rumors help you be more famous. What I can control is you and your needy whining about - ”

“I’m sorry?” Kame said.

He had followed the older man to the room and spoke in a dangerously hushed tone.

“Control me? My needy whining?” Kame chuckled with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “So this relationship is about controlling an apprehensive partner, is it? If you’re so sure about yourself, stop whining about how I dance with Koki. At least I don’t do things when you’re not around - ”

Jin glared back.

“So you admit it? Koki is something else, isn’t he?”

“Only if you admit how these rumors are formed in the first place,” Kame replied, looking daggers at his boyfriend now. “Because from what I understand of this business, rumors often start with something. You know what they say. When there’s smoke, there’s - ”

Kame did not get to finish the rest of the adage as Jin pinned him to the bedroom wall, devouring his lips hungrily. The older man slipped his tongue in right away because Kame’s mouth was open as he was talking. Greedy moans escaped them both as Jin pressed his body against the younger man’s, their erections growing as they rubbed.

“Fuck,” Kame swore under his breath as Jin moved to suck on the skin of his neck, their hands roving all over each other.

“Don’t you dare imply that I’m having an affair with someone else,” Jin said.

Kame made a mental note to never be moved by Jin making this kind of talk. The man was good with this, Kame knew, and he wouldn’t want to be fooled.

“Kame, are you listening?”

Jin asked, sucking harder on his shoulder and plunging a hand into Kame’s jogging pants and tugging on his already hard cock, all to emphasize the point. Kame moaned in response, more to the touches than to the question itself.

“I said, never imply that I’m having an affair with someone else,” Jin repeated, his teeth brushing at Kame’s shoulder skin. “Because I’ll make you pay for it in bed,” he added, stroking Kame’s shaft so hard that the younger man’s knees buckled and he had to lean on Jin to keep himself up.

#5: Kame hates how Jin never fails to confuse his emotions.

Sometimes Kame wants to laugh, and sometimes he wants to cry, all because of Jin.

The KAT-TUN leader had been wondering about Jin’s response in a recent interview. The soloist said, “I’m in love, but I don’t have a girlfriend,” and Kame couldn’t help but speculate whether Jin liked someone else now. It’s been a while.

And speaking of a while, it’s been a while since they talked, but here Jin was, giving him a call, asking how he was doing. Kame was nervous. He didn’t know if he should be happy that Jin called, because he knew in himself that he was already trying to move on.

He was also sorely tempted to ask about Jin’s new love, but felt that it was too intrusive to ask; given their current state.

Jin thanked Kame for his comment in another magazine interview, likening KAT-TUN to One Piece.

“It was very kind of you to talk that way… about me.”

Kame nodded, and realized that Jin couldn’t see him, so he answered in a breathy voice, “Y - yeah.”

Jin paused, and then spoke in a puzzled tone.

“Are you okay?”

“What? Yes. Why?”

Jin laughed good-naturedly. Damn, did Kame miss that sound or what.

“Are you nervous?”

Kame wanted to kick himself. He had spent four years with Jin, after all, so the man naturally knew when Kame was being weird and nervous.

“It’s nothing,” Kame dismissed, trying to sound normal.

Jin chuckled again.

“Thank you, Kame,” he said.

“Eh? What for?”

“For still being nervous about me.”

Kame couldn’t see Jin either, but it sounded a lot like Jin was grinning. The soloist spoke again.

“It means you still care.”

Kame knew that the both of them understood what Jin’s statement implied, and Kame wasn’t sure if he’d be happy that Jin was still thinking that way about him. Maybe he should be scared and worried that, even almost a year after ending their relationship, Jin could still read Kame very well.

#6: Kame hates Jin’s friends.

Well, not really hate, but he knows that they’re not comfortable with Jin being in a relationship with someone of the same sex.

“Jin… oooh, yes - Jin - ”

Kame moaned senseless words into the still air of the living room of Jin’s apartment, his one hand massaging Jin’s scalp as if that would motivate Jin to do even better, and the fingers of his other hand dug into the soft covering of the couch.

“Unghh, Jiiiin…” Kame almost whispered.

Kame made it a point to keep his noise at a minimum, because Jin’s friends were, in fact, in the same house that night. The younger man was definitely against the idea of doing anything in the living room, because YamaPi, Nishikido Ryo, and Shirota Yuu were sleeping in the guest room, which was just adjacent to the living room.

But through the years that they have been together, Kame knew there was no stopping Jin when the older man was horny, so they ended up like this, with Kame sitting and Jin kneeling in front of him, currently bobbing his head up and down on Kame’s shaft and sending waves of pleasure straight to Kame’s brain that he was barely aware of anything else.

Just then, the door to the guest room suddenly opened, and Ryo’s back was visible.

“I’m just getting a drink,” Ryo said into the bedroom before backing out.

Kame pushed Jin off his manhood and zipped his pants right up, and Jin hurriedy wiped the precum off his chin.

“Hey, you two are still awake - ”

Ryo paused, realizing what he had just walked into. Jin was kneeling in front of a flushed Kame, and both men looked too disheveled to just be having a chat. There was very little room for error in guessing what was going on.

“I - I’m just going to get a - glass of water - ” Ryo stuttered as he marched stiffly into the kitchen, his face showing a mixture of embarrassment and disgust.

Kame glanced at Jin, and Jin was smirking stupidly, as if enjoying his own friend’s embarrassment. Kame rolled his eyes at his lover, just as Ryo walked back in, still stiff as a board, and avoiding eye contact with either of them, though the furious blush on his toned face quite gave him away. When he reached the door to the guest room, he turned to the two and looked as if he wanted to say something, but then decided against it and walked into the bedroom, hurriedly closing the door behind him.

Kame heard YamaPi’s manic laughter almost instantly, but wasn’t able to comment anymore because, at that moment, Jin unzipped his pants again and proceeded to continue his interrupted work.

Jin’s friends were predictably and obviously happy when he and Kame broke up. Ryo, for one, was relieved that he would no longer walk in on blowjob sessions.

#7: And the seventh thing I hate the most that you do… you make me love you.

Kame was confused when he saw Jin standing at the porch of his house. He parked his car and tried quite desperately to hold back a grin as he got off and approached the soloist, who looked like he had been waiting for some hours now.

“What are you doing here?”

Jin hesitated, looking at Kame through unsure eyes, but then finally spoke.

“Do I need a reason to be here?”

Kame raised an eyebrow, speaking as he slipped his key into the door’s lock and letting the both of them into the house.

“Yes, because it’s not like we’re going out or anything,” he said, trying his best to sound nonchalant about it.

Kame set down his sports bag on the foyer table and was momentarily preoccupied with his reflection in the mirror, fixing his hair, when he realized that Jin had not responded. He looked back at the older man who was still standing near the door, and Jin looked ticked off.

“So I’m here because I wanted to see you, okay?! You just had to make me say it.”

Jin bit his lip, and Kame struggled to suppress a smile.

“Okay,” he replied, his one hand resting on the table and his other on his waist. “You’ve seen me now. What next?”

“You’re fucking heartless, you know that?” Jin said, taking a step forward, agitated and frustrated.

At this, Kame’s expression softened. It appeared that Jin was sincerely hurt by Kame’s cold treatment.

“Don’t pretend you’re not happy to see me,” Jin said, glaring at Kame but taking another step forward all the same.

“I’m not.”

Jin looked devastated, his mouth hanging open as he stared at Kame with shocked eyes. It took Kame a moment to understand why Jin reacted that way.

“I mean - I’m not pretending. Eto… I didn’t say I wasn’t happy to see you - ”

Kame was not able to hold back anymore and had to grin at Jin’s childishly gleeful face upon hearing Kame’s words. Jin closed the distance between the two of them and put his arms around the younger man.

Kame was stiff for a while, unsure of what to do, but Jin didn’t move away and instead only tightened the embrace.

“Jin,” Kame began, raising his hands to put them around the soloist’s back, too.

“I hate you,” Jin suddenly said, breaking the hug and holding Kame at arm’s length, the ever-familiar silly pout on his face. “All this time making me feel like I’m at fault - I’m not the only one who was selfish, was I? And I know you missed me, you - ”

Kame sighed and chuckled. Jin was still baka as ever, and all the things he hated about the man were probably still there. It felt good, though, to have Jin here and listen to his ramblings. Somehow, it felt less serious, and cuter.

“Jin, I hate you, too,” Kame said, cupping Jin’s face in his hands. And before they kissed, he told Jin off, with a smile on his lips, “So shut up.”
