There wasn't much that got through to Robin in her drug hazy state and she was pretty content just giggling with Steve, but eventually she realized that she was sitting in a cinema and the movie playing was really boring and she didn't have a clue how she got here or why.
She bumped Steve.

He just looked at her with wide eyes, and then burst out laughing.
"I have no idea."
"Wanna leave?"
"Yeah. I need something to drink."

That made both of them giggle again and they got up, sneaking out of the cinema as quietly as they could in their current state. Which was not really quiet at all, as was indicated by numerous complaints all around them, which only made them giggle even more.

It wasn't even all the people and the way the food was served in the most time efficient way which made it seem like everyone was in a hurry. Or the loud music and ads blasting over the speakers. Or how expensive this clearly low quality food was and the amount of trash just one person eating a meal here generated.
No, all of that was annoying, sure, but with what she had learned about the future, she had been expecting these things. What she was truly surprised and confused about was how much everyone seemed to love this place.
Nate's eyes lit up just by the mention of it, Sara seemed to become nostalgic every time it was brought up, Jax and Stein had long discussions about the merits of it but both seemed to very much concede that it was a special and important place, even Mick loved it and was always eager to go, and while Ray categorically refused to set foot into it, he seemed to understand his friends' love for it.
Amaya did not. She had been caught up in everyone's hype and had expected something truly fabulous and this just did not seem to fit the bill. At all.
Maybe there was something she was missing.

To that end, she knew she had to stop Malcolm, had to rip this place away from him and while she was trying to do better, to be worthy of Laurel and Sara believing in her, killing the people disloyal to her was a necessity. And so was forcing Oliver to help her. It wasn't that she didn't understand him or wanted to hurt Thea, if anything she felt with the girl and hoped he would do the right thing so she could help her.
But she needed to do this. She needed to put an end to her father's reign and this was the only way to do it.

There was also pumpkin spice lattes and warm sweaters. Curling up on the couch with a good book (a Fillory book, most of the time) and a cup of coffee was one of her favorite activities.

And would it even be so bad? She knew Mona, better than anyone else. She knew there had to be a way to lift the curse once she had taken it on, and she knew Mona and everyone else would help her find it. After they were all safely back on the Waverider. Which would not happen if she didn't do something, right now.
She had made her decision. Calling for Tabitha was easy and when she smiled back at Mona, even with her asking her not to, Nora knew it was the right decision. It had to be.

She wasn't particularly sure what was up with all the pumpkins (okay, well, she did admit that, when carved correctly, a pumpkin could be quite scary looking, at least for a human she assumed) or why everyone seemed to insist on putting huge piles of leaves in their yards, but it didn't particularly matter to her. It was a night in which she could go out and be herself, change shape in front of people and have them praise her for her amazing speed in changing costumes (people were really gullible sometimes).
Her favorite thing was the cornmaze. She had found out about it at some point during her first Halloween and since then, had always taken at least a few hours to position herself somewhere inside the maze, change into some scary creature, wait for children or teenagers to come through and scare the shit out of them.
It was amazing! She laughed her ass off every time someone else looked like they had just shit their pants and ran away as quickly as they could.
In the end, her verdict was clear: for a shapeshifter who loved chaos, Halloween was the best thing ever.

Waking up with a scream still on her lips, Laurel bolted up in the bed, cold sweat on her face. It took her a long moment to realize that it had been a dream, the same dream she had had nearly every night since she had heard about Sara and Oliver. A dream that she couldn't shake, no matter how hard she tried.
Knowing that it was just a dream but still had been reality for the two people she had loved the most in this world, she lied back in her bed and let the tears flow freely down her cheeks.

Hope that one day, the blue place where Mallus sent her would not be her whole reality, that she would make it out someday. She always tried to hide from his torturous words, always finding their mark, crushing her, tearing her down until she was just a shell of who she used to be.
She had tried to find a place to hide from him, even here, in his own realm, but there wasn't one. There was nowhere to hide and no way to escape. She was trapped here and that is how it would stay her whole life.
Maybe it was better this way. It's what her father wanted from her. And when she did what Mallus asked, he would leave her alone for a while. There would be a small reprieve from the pain. Maybe being his puppet was her destiny, the one thing she was good for.
The voice inside her that said those things became louder and louder every day and the voice that said that there was still hope, that she would escape one day got quieter and quieter.

With another fugitive at large in a small town in 1985, the Legends split into pairs to try and locate the creature in the outskirts of the town, where it had allegedly been seen this evening. It was already dark, so everyone had flashlights.
Mona and Sara teamed up and were currently engaged in a debate as to whether it was offensive to call the Yeti 'abominable snowman' or not, with Mona being in favor of respecting the creature's feelings and Sara generally not caring all that much, seeing as they weren't necessarily clear on whether the Yeti even understood what they were saying.
"Of course he understands. And is probably very sensitive. Look at Konane, he understood everything, and it always hurt him when someone called him a monster."
Sara tried very hard to restrain from rolling her eyes. She knew Konane was still a sore subject and understood that.
"Look, not all creatures we encounter are on the same… level as Konane, a lot of them-"
She didn't get to finish her sentence because they were run over by a giant white creature that clearly only intended to get away from them as it barged forward without so much as looking back.
Sara helped Mona up from where she had fallen onto the ground.
"Okay, maybe the Yeti doesn't understand. Or maybe he's just scared."
"Whatever it is, we need to get him, come on."
They ran into the direction the Yeti had disappeared in, on a forest path. Sara called the other Legends to their position. When they rounded a corner, they saw a girl on a skateboard, who seemed far too unfazed, so they assumed the Yeti had not actually come through here, but they still wanted to make sure.
"Hi, I'm Mona, umm, have you seen a big guy in a big hairy costume come through here?"
The girl rolled her eyes.
"You mean a Yeti. Yeah, he ran that way. It's not like we're not used to monsters here, you know."
Before Mona and Sara could process that, the girl already skated off and they decided containing the Yeti was a more pressing matter than monsters in Hawkins, Indiana.

Already feeling safety in reaching distance, she made the wish, but nothing happened. And no matter how much Nora screamed at Tabitha, it didn't change anything. They were still trapped and Nora had taken a curse upon herself, again, for nothing.
"I am so sorry."
Speaking was hard, but she tried, having to apologize because it was her who Nora had done this for, her she had tried to save.
But instead of being angry, Nora just smiled at her and sat on the edge of her bed.
"Save your strength. I'm sure they will come for us. We just need to wait."
"Okay."
She didn't really believe it and she knew Nora didn't either, but she lied back down because the pain became too much and there was nothing else she could do.
"And I always hated blue."
It was not meant for her to hear, Nora had been quiet and she knew it was just something she was mumbling to herself, but Mona couldn't help but laugh a little, followed by a coughing fit.
"Blue is my favorite color." Smiling a little, she looked up at Nora, who actually looked truly stunning in the Fairy Godmother dress. "And I know things are awful and all, but you look really great in that."
Now Nora smiled a little too, even though it seemed a little incredulous.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. Even if you don't like it, blue is your color."
Nora scoffed, then took her hand and they both fell into an anxious but not uncomfortable silence, Mona drifting in and out of consciousness.
If this was it, if this was how she would die, she was glad that at least her friend was by her side. Even when they didn't agree on their favorite colors.

Reading was like living many different lives, becoming the brave heroine that was trying to save the world, battling werewolves or occasionally befriending them and always persevering.

It could be sometimes quite boring, to always observe and never participate. Gideon was thankful for those opportunities when she got to be a more active part of the Legends, like helping Rip break out of his mind prison or making the simulation for Zari.
But generally, she entertained herself by watching and documenting everything she saw. As much as she had been skeptical at first, the Legends had become her favorites. When they had saved her from idling after those five years she had been very thankful to them and eager to go on new adventures.
Sometimes, she felt like she needed to remind them that she was also there and also a part of the team, but she recognized her status and what it meant.
It was enough to pass her time with seeing Mick get a brilliant idea for his new plot, admiring Zari's skill in computer games and Sara's technique when working out, being a little annoyed by Charlie blasting loud music (she had politely asked her to use headphones and to her credit, she had actually agreed), being as grossed out as a computer could be at Constantine's new concoction, adoring all the clothes Mona fabricated for herself, mostly things with animals on them, to which she had made some suggestions herself.
There really was so much to observe, it was a miracle she even found time to run the ship. Well, not really, seeing that she was an incredibly advanced AI, but still.

Even after her father had come and send her back to the institution, Nora still had hope. Hope that one day, the blue place where Mallus sent her would not be her whole reality, that she would make it out someday. She always tried to hide from his torturous words, always finding their mark, crushing her, tearing her down until she was just a shell of who she used to be.
She had tried to find a place to hide from him, even here, in his own realm, but there wasn't one. There was nowhere to hide and no way to escape. She was trapped here and that is how it would stay her whole life.
Maybe it was better this way. It's what her father wanted from her. And when she did what Mallus asked, he would leave her alone for a while. There would be a small reprieve from the pain. Maybe being his puppet was her destiny, the one thing she was good for.
The voice inside her that said those things became louder and louder every day and the voice that said that there was still hope, that she would escape one day got quieter and quieter.

With another fugitive at large in a small town in 1985, the Legends split into pairs to try and locate the creature in the outskirts of the town, where it had allegedly been seen this evening. It was already dark, so everyone had flashlights.
Mona and Sara teamed up and were currently engaged in a debate as to whether it was offensive to call the Yeti 'abominable snowman' or not, with Mona being in favor of respecting the creature's feelings and Sara generally not caring all that much, seeing as they weren't necessarily clear on whether the Yeti even understood what they were saying.
"Of course he understands. And is probably very sensitive. Look at Konane, he understood everything, and it always hurt him when someone called him a monster."
Sara tried very hard to restrain from rolling her eyes. She knew Konane was still a sore subject and understood that.
"Look, not all creatures we encounter are on the same… level as Konane, a lot of them-"
She didn't get to finish her sentence because they were run over by a giant white creature that clearly only intended to get away from them as it barged forward without so much as looking back.
Sara helped Mona up from where she had fallen onto the ground.
"Okay, maybe the Yeti doesn't understand. Or maybe he's just scared."
"Whatever it is, we need to get him, come on."
They ran into the direction the Yeti had disappeared in, on a forest path. Sara called the other Legends to their position. When they rounded a corner, they saw a girl on a skateboard, who seemed far too unfazed, so they assumed the Yeti had not actually come through here, but they still wanted to make sure.
"Hi, I'm Mona, umm, have you seen a big guy in a big hairy costume come through here?"
The girl rolled her eyes.
"You mean a Yeti. Yeah, he ran that way. It's not like we're not used to monsters here, you know."
Before Mona and Sara could process that, the girl already skated off and they decided containing the Yeti was a more pressing matter than monsters in Hawkins, Indiana.

The hope that stirred in Mona's chest was overwhelming, even when she was still very much against what Nora had just done. But if it worked, if she could wish them both onto the Waverider, to safety, she would make it her first priority to find a way to free Nora from the curse, to make sure that she never would have to do someone else's bidding ever again.
Already feeling safety in reaching distance, she made the wish, but nothing happened. And no matter how much Nora screamed at Tabitha, it didn't change anything. They were still trapped and Nora had taken a curse upon herself, again, for nothing.
"I am so sorry."
Speaking was hard, but she tried, having to apologize because it was her who Nora had done this for, her she had tried to save.
But instead of being angry, Nora just smiled at her and sat on the edge of her bed.
"Save your strength. I'm sure they will come for us. We just need to wait."
"Okay."
She didn't really believe it and she knew Nora didn't either, but she lied back down because the pain became too much and there was nothing else she could do.
"And I always hated blue."
It was not meant for her to hear, Nora had been quiet and she knew it was just something she was mumbling to herself, but Mona couldn't help but laugh a little, followed by a coughing fit.
"Blue is my favorite color." Smiling a little, she looked up at Nora, who actually looked truly stunning in the Fairy Godmother dress. "And I know things are awful and all, but you look really great in that."
Now Nora smiled a little too, even though it seemed a little incredulous.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. Even if you don't like it, blue is your color."
Nora scoffed, then took her hand and they both fell into an anxious but not uncomfortable silence, Mona drifting in and out of consciousness.
If this was it, if this was how she would die, she was glad that at least her friend was by her side. Even when they didn't agree on their favorite colors.

Reading had always been Mona's favorite thing. She would curl up in any available place that was comfortable enough and get lost between the pages of her newest acquisition. She got her books from the library, as presents from her parents and friends and when she was old enough to buy them herself, from frequent visits to her favorite book shop.
Reading was like living many different lives, becoming the brave heroine that was trying to save the world, battling werewolves or occasionally befriending them and always persevering.
Books provided the adventures she wished she could have in real life.

It could be sometimes quite boring, to always observe and never participate. Gideon was thankful for those opportunities when she got to be a more active part of the Legends, like helping Rip break out of his mind prison or making the simulation for Zari.
But generally, she entertained herself by watching and documenting everything she saw. As much as she had been skeptical at first, the Legends had become her favorites. When they had saved her from idling after those five years she had been very thankful to them and eager to go on new adventures.
Sometimes, she felt like she needed to remind them that she was also there and also a part of the team, but she recognized her status and what it meant.
It was enough to pass her time with seeing Mick get a brilliant idea for his new plot, admiring Zari's skill in computer games and Sara's technique when working out, being a little annoyed by Charlie blasting loud music (she had politely asked her to use headphones and to her credit, she had actually agreed), being as grossed out as a computer could be at Constantine's new concoction, adoring all the clothes Mona fabricated for herself, mostly things with animals on them, to which she had made some suggestions herself.
There really was so much to observe, it was a miracle she even found time to run the ship. Well, not really, seeing that she was an incredibly advanced AI, but still.
