There are times when the ugliness of poughkeepsie is outweighed by the view of the Hudson...from my favorite spot in the library I see the river from a height, and from up above the river is a tinted glass paine. I have always loved watching birds migrate above large bodies of water, it reminds me of that scene in Disneys "The Rescuers Down Under"
