I've tired to update this so many times but I don't what to say. I've been going through a rough patch emotionally for like...six months now? Depression blows. But I'm doing really well in grad school so I guess I'm doing something right. I got my first A my second quarter -- I should be happier than I am over all this

I'm so sorry you're going through a low right now. It sucks to not even be able to truly enjoy the actual good that is happening in your life. Sending so much love your way, and congratulations too for what you're accomplishing in grad school--that's truly awesome. I've said it before, but you're truly one of the strongest people I know. You may not feel like it yourself but you keep going anyway and that's the bravest thing you could do.

We definitely all have our own paths to follow, that's such a great way to put it. As long as you're not miserable and can consequently still afford Netflix, why not? Heh.

I'm enjoying iZombie, too, but it comes with so much baggage, man. Like why does it have to be so so so similar to Veronica Mars? The characters obviously (like seriously, there's the Wallace, the Weevil, the Duncan, the Logan, and the Keith is now the older sister) but also the big mystery and unrelated episode cases structure, the way the lead is styled ... it's not a new exciting thing for me is what I'm

Thank you. It's so weird to think that sometimes you know -- like idk people objectively tell me I'm strong but it's hard to see it in myself, but I imagine that's true of everyone.

Yes, there's definitely a lot of strong VMars parallels there's no denying that. And I do wish her female best friend got more time because otherwise...so many dudes. I really hope they go into the darker depression zombie stuff more too -- the way they got into the serial killer brain stuff this week gave me hope they might explore some of that stuff more in the future. And you are always welcome to rant on my post okay? I love hearing your thoughts on it. But yes, so far I am enjoying it a lot but I'm hoping it finds it's own voice a little more as it goes on.

Okay you have to tell me: who is the Weevil? (the cop?) I don't know . I just know the piz, because the character will be called Lowell and the piz actor was last named Lowell. So that was an easy connection for me though it made me laugh very hard.

On that side, though, I think it is more...uplifting than Veronica Mars which was way darker to me. This show is struggling with balancing the unreal to the real. But Veronica Mars got so damn real it was sometimes like 'HELLLPPP'. But you know still awesome. And it is still early, I'll probably be yelling help anyway.

Yeah, I think the cop is the through the looking glass Weevil. Like obviously he's on the other side of the law, but his purpose in the story and his relationship with Liv is similar??

Lol, I wish the show was darker!! But I think VM was pessimistic more than dark, maybe.
