Breaking into Primatech had been an easier task than breaking out of it had ever been. But then again, Sylar was stronger now than he had been there. And with Claire’s power coursing through his blood he was practically invincible now. The guards who dared try to stop him were easily thrown into walls with his telekinesis like paper dolls. They were all normals, like Bennet, so he didn’t bother spending time on them. Killing them wouldn’t give him anything. And he had a destination to get to.
It wasn’t until he had been held at Primatech that he learned who Elle really was. The daughter of one of the founders. A company girl by birthright. She had betrayed him with her sweet smiles and honey laced lies and now he would hurt her, hurt her in the best way he knew how. First he would kill her father, and then he would kill her. Take that pretty sparking power away from her, and maybe then his heart wouldn’t sting every time he ate peach pie. It used to be his favorite, but now he hated it.
He made his way into Bob’s office easily enough, a smirk on his lips. Oh, he was going to enjoy this one. The older man didn’t even look up at his paperwork. “I told you already Elle, if I send you after him again, you’ll only disappoint us both, is that what you want?”
“Sorry Bob, Elle’s not here right now,” Sylar crooned in a faux sympathetic voice. “But I’ll be sure to pass on the message to her once I get to her. She’s next on my list.”
Bob looked up now, and if he was afraid, he was very good at hiding it. “Sylar. We meet face to face at last” His voice was calm. Like someone who’s wheels were already turning. “You don’t have to do this. We can help y-“
Sylar laughed bitterly, cutting the man off. “Help me? You think that you can help me? Don’t you think you’ve done enough already? Sending your pretty little daughter after me, having her save my life only to turn me into a monster, into this?” He brought his signature two fingers up to cut across the older man’s skull. “No, I think I’ve had enough of this company’s help to last me a lifetime, thank you. The only thing you can do to help me now is help me hurt that daughter of yours”
“Elle…” Bob gasped out, his last words as the serial killer approached him.
“You can act like you care about her, but you sent her as bait, didn’t you?” Sylar murmured to the dead corpse as he ripped open the head, tossing the top of the skull onto the ground before he started digging around for that power, that sweet part. “You thought she wouldn’t resist showing off that sparking power of hers. Apparently she was a better actress than either one of us would have guessed.” He shuddered a little as he found the source, absorbing it into his body now. “I thought she was an innocent angel with a broken watch, and you thought she was a hopeless agent who wouldn’t be able to do her job. How wrong we both were.” He made his way to the bathroom, washing the blood off his hands.
He made his way back out, pausing at Bob’s dead corpse. “But don’t worry, even if it’s a little late, I’ll still take her power. So everything worked out exactly to plan, didn’t it?” He asked wryly before making his way out of the room. He didn’t feel the need to go find Elle just yet. He would head into Level Five and get what powers he could, and then once he discovered Daddy’s corpse, she would come looking for him.
And then he would kill her. He would finally get his revenge. And maybe once he did that, that pain in his heart would finally go away.
After all, there was no place for angels in a world like this. He had clipped her wings and now he just had to finish the job.
