Sylar’s been wanting this power since he first met Candice; creating the world the way he wants to see it. He knows it would be easy enough to get lost in it. And yet he can’t resist. He recreates the old apartment he lived in, and he changes his own appearance so he looks like Gabriel once more. Finally, he finishes by creating her. He’s surprised by how soft and warm she feels. Just like Elle. He pretends she never betrayed him and he never killed her. Days become weeks and he can’t break the illusion. He’s happier this way.
