Kyle! Wow, hello! I have to say I agree with your 'way of thinking', that you should just have fun doing whatever you like/are good at... it fits in with your instinct against bullshitting too, because why waste time doing other rubbisher things?

You're right, being at uni really hammers in the fact that there's nothing you can do better than anyone else. Might as well just do what you're reasonably good at, and enjoy it.
