skiing news:  it was really fun.  6500 vertical feet of corn (okay maybe with 1000 feet of icy suncups... :-) 
i skied the whole way up and it was much more efficient than hiking.  i wasn't even tired.  went with karin and johan as a last hurrah (they left today.)

but perhaps more interesting: a big-ass forest fire!

Those are sweet pictures. Looks like shitty skiing, but props for the strapping in in July! Damn you. I've been having dreams about skiing every night. One night, I had one of those squirrel suits.
