This morning I woke up early, as I always do, and decided to get out of the house and treat myself to coffee and a pumpkin scone (NOM) at my favorite Starbucks.  I don't much care if you sneer at me (I know how many people feel about Starbucks), because sometimes it just feels good to sit someplace warm and clean with free wifi and comfy seats, ( Read more... )

New tiny camera - how wonderful. Can't wait to see the work of TC. :)

Salt and caramel are evil-ly delicious together.

Enjoy your day too. Accomplishing stuff is overrated sometimes. Take a nap too.

I have high hopes for TC2!

I don't know who came up with the salted caramel combo, but I hope there's a special place in heaven for him/her.

Actually, I like sitting in Starbucks. It's being with people without actually having to interact, and sometimes that's all you really need.

And it's too freakin' cold today to go outside and accomplish anything labor-related.

Sounds like the best possible use of a day off! As Head of the Department of Justifications, I highly approve!

I was going to appeal to the Board of Lazy, but you're a department head, and that's more than enough!

In all instances, I have to approve their decisions anyway, so it's best to cut out the middleman! Enjoy! ;-)

MLK wanted people to be kind to people. By being kind to yourself and having Starbucks, you're doing it in one fell swoop. Brava!

love the pumpkin scone from starbucks, but we only get it during canadian thanksgiving up here.

as a recent convert to the mac, it's well worth it. you pay a little more for the hardware, but honestly, i see my macbook sticking around for a good 5 years at least, with the proper maintenance and care (a friend has had the same mac laptop since 2nd year university, and that was seven years ago!). software is typically cheaper than pc's, and there's very little risk of virus or trojan infections due to the ultra-tight programming of the computer.

honestly, just get it; you'll thank yourself (and me) for it later. ;)

It's statements like yours that make me want one more and more all the time. Considering how important the computer is to almost every part of my life, it might be worth taking the plunge. *gulp*

i know that the apple brand has it's detractors (and they do bring up some valid points), but as a personal reference if you will, i've had my macbook for nearly six months, and have been 100% happy with it. the o/s is very user friendly (though it does have a nasty habit of filng files for you, so you sometimes end up with duplicates), and intuitive. i think i learned the basic ins and outs of the comptuer within a week.

keep us posted on the developments!
