I was the only white person in African Studies. They thought I was a spy.

A lot of things have happened in the past couple of weeks, namely me moving to Toronto. First time on my own, college, blah blah blah. Unimportant, this is better:

"I hope that in your time here at the University of Toronto, you meet someone who you think is just amazing. A dream. Maybe you'll even meet that person today, here. And I hope that by the end of your time here, that person just makes you want to vomit every time you see them. This song is dedicated to that person."

World map? Where do you see that? My room is pretty fancy: big window, lots of storage, an unnaturally comfortable bed...though I wish I could paint the walls something other than white. The one cement one makes up for it though, it's very modern-looking. How is Carleton going!

Fuck, I'm blind/tired... Somehow the damask (SPELLINGZZZ PLZ) print looked like a world map. I guess I'm going to have to paint a world map on blank sheets then, and if you come to Ottawa you are quite welcome to join me in this task! Your room sounds like exactly what I need in my life from that short description. MORE PIX!!!! I had another existential crisis and removed everything (really, everything...it took 2 hours) from my walls, so now I'm left to stare at what I imagine it would look like if a watermelon vomited. Carleton is somewhat going, albeit somewhat in a constipated manner! I'm doing my law project about SPACEEEE law so I am well on my way to becoming an astronaut now!!!!
this comment has way too many references to gross humour, oopz

Well grrrl, one of my classes on November 2nd is canceled and I hate the other one, so I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to come down for a visit/to get some more crap from my old room (WHY, WHY DID I LEAVE MY RECORDS BEHIND. WHY.) I'm coming down on Thursday night, so I'll probs be free on that Friday night, if you want to do it then! This is still a month away, I was going to wait a couple weeks before emailing you about it--but now that you bring it up, I thought I'd might as well tell you now. That's, like, the coolest idea ever, byyy the way. We could maybe paint some art for our walls at the same time, as mine are about as bare as yours--all I have up are an article about Kanye and a Toronto transit map. Oh and my timetable.

SPACE! Bitch, we have to apply for jobs at NASA. We could be janitors! Haha.

I've always had trouble getting off my ass and getting out. It's best when you pick something specific to do that you know will take at least an hour, and do something like that every day. Buying tickets to shows in advance so you can't change your mind, for instance, or getting a record of a band you've never listened to before and listening to it while walking around/exploring new places, or even just going to a certain branch of a store that isn't necessarily the closest one to where you live. Even just getting a job helps; even if you don't make friends (uhhhuh befriending people at Wendy's), you at least get to see and talk to people.

I love the cement wall! Where are you living, by the way? I've been wondering that for some reason, recently, because I have no idea.

I'm actually in Etobicoke, just south of Kipling Station. It's far, but since I'm still close-ish to the subway it's not hard to get downtown. I'd still like to end up there next year, haha. Etobicoke is kind of sucky.

I agree.

I've been to Kipling station far too many times for my liking. That's where my grandparents pick me up if I decide to visit them.
