1. If I had to guess, I would say about 1800. 300 years had passed since he sent Clara back the first time, and I'd guess another 300 at least when Tasha Lem went and got her. (Honestly, I think this would make him more in line with the Doctor's old Who age. I don't know why RTD felt the need to make him 900 and age him in real time
( ... )
Honestly, I think they spent so much production budget on the 50th that they may have had to cut a bit back on this one.
I wondered about the Weeping Angels at the beginning & they weren't mentioned again. Then, on the second watch, I saw that quick little mirror shot and thought I must have blinked (LOL) the first time.
As far as the Silence, I guess we're supposed to think that since Tasha Lem was his source of candy (or whatever that was), she told him previously. But that leads back to being told, not shown.
It felt like there was too much thrown at us, in too little time. I still loved it, but there was just something missing.
Oh, and have you heard that apparently, Tasha Lem is River Song? Seems that Lem spelled backwards is MELody. /sarcasm
My tumblr EXPLODED with the River speculation about 30 seconds after the episode was done. All the "evidence" aside, I don't see the Doctor being that ok with River being turned into a fucking dalek. (Also, I love River as much as the next girl but as sassy as Tasha was, I never got the impression they were one and the same.)
I definitely need to do a rewatch. Now that you mentioned Tasha telling him about the Silence, I remembered that he told Clara after the first 300 years. It was just so anticlimactic, like they were such minor things.
