Did the Eternal Sunshine people pay you to peddle it? hehe.

1. Because the position for coolest kid in America is taken. Better luck next year :). Actually, though, it's because you can't aspire to reach mediocrity; it'd be a step down.
2. Certainly. It's hard to believe how things are always the same but different but still the same.
3. Casserole? Weird. Um, does shepherd's pie count? the kind with mashed potatoes on top and no blood, not the kind in a pig intestine.

The Eternal Sunshine people should pay me, dammit.

I really like the way you complement people---so witty.

The casserole question is random, yes, but you know how much I love food. And I came up with that question because tonight I'm making green bean casserole for Ray and John's Christmas bash. And it's my favorite dish.

I am filled with Christ love!

1. Yes, though it's more of an "anyone" and the answer is a few people--those who haven't forgotten me.
2. Apple, especially Dutch apple.
3. I think the 17th century or early 18th. Tall, beautiful ships to see a world that was natural and new; wars still fought with swords; the birth of Western liberalism and the chance to shape it before its application in the late 1700s; and of course, joining the nobility and having my own castle.

Alternate answer: the 27th century. I just want to see how we turn out. And maybe visit some other planets.

1. I want the world. Seriously. All of it. But I'd settle for another planet, too.
2. I have grand plans. They are top secret, of course, and not set in stone (nothing ever is).
3. 42.

what's that book about?

1. i'll work on that.
2. but where will you be? or is that secret, too, dear?
3. i was thinking that you'd say that. :)

james piper, after the loss of his parents, steals the heart of teenage materia. when they marry despite her parents' refusal, materia exiles herself completely from her family forever. though she loves James, the repercussions of this first decision resound in the lives of her children. each daughter forges an unusual relationship with their father, and some are absolutely repulsive and some admirable. because the family is virtually alone, there is no chance for rescue or redemption.

it's incredibly dark, and has its bitingly humorous points, but it will take your view of "family" and turn it in ways you've never imagined. definitely a page-turner.

i read it before oprah sunk her claws into it. :( and the woman's name is actually ann-marie macdonald.

1. I would want the power to reshape the universe, including being able to control the weather and be a shape-shifter. But if you were looking for something more...humanly possible...a free, private jet and a waterfront estate so that my friends could come and go whenever they had a free day or on the weekends, and so that i could go anywhere, anytime.

2. definitely NOT the tuesday before thanksgiving. probably the death cab concert with amy (except for the part w/ the police)...or the sake party, because that was pretty hilarious. i also enjoyed doing nothing and spending too much over thanksgiving break with the jennster.

3. pie!
