Because I love Meredith....

New Year's Resolutions (pulled off the top of my head right now):

1) GET INTO COLLEGE.  Although there's not much I can really do about that right now....more like, DON'T KILL MYSELF BEFORE I GET INTO A COLLEGE.
2) Choose a college (I'm sensing a theme here....).  I'm talking pro/con lists all Rory Gilmore style like WOAH.
3) Be less socially awkward ( Read more... )

Helloooo!

These resolutions are quite interesting.

I looked up John Irving and was surprised to see I was actually familiar with one of his works. I researched some of the others, they look interesting! I'm intrigued... what have you read by him? Any favorites?

A Prayer for Owen Meany is pretty much the best book ever.
I've also read The World According to Garp and The Water-Method Man....I'm now on to Until I Find You and I have like 5 more that I got for Christmas....

I really want to check some of those out!

I saw the movie Cider House Rules a while ago and it was pretty much amazing. Powerful. Thanks for the recommendations (well, resolutions, but still, thanks for posting it!).

Yayyyy you make me happy! I'm sure you'll be glad you recorded these though. I think we should not call them resolutions. They are goals. Goals are more sturdy and accomplishable. Resolutions sound so flighty and they have that stigma that you'll never follow through with them.

I had to look up annotate on dictionary.com, I feel like a dope. I mean, I KINDA knew what it meant, but not in the context of your resolution. This is why I will be a SCIENCE teacher. I dare you to ask me the difference between baking powder and baking soda and THEN I'd be all know-it-all, lol.

Good job! And I think you posted in 2007....I copied off you last year, 2008, but I don't think you did it yourself, to answer your question, lol.

I am actually very happy I asked. That's really nifty. I feel a little bit smarter now!
