I just became acutely aware of this the other day while petting yet another starved pitbull. I love these dogs. I love them so much it hurts. So I had this client the other day who came in with her little Chihuahua. She was so worried about him. He was very sick and I told her we would run a few tests to see what was going on, as he had a history of kidney failure. Had a wonderful night out last night with my friend Alex - she is here from the UK as a freelance camerawoman - she has been filming us at the A for about 10 weeks now. Had a great day today - was well-rested from the weekend, and got up early and went to the gym. Had a decent workout, and headed to work, which wasn't too busy, so I got lots of phone calls and stuff done. I was out at 7pm, went to see Blue upstairs in adoptions and headed home. HLE recently brought in a Cane Corso named Aniyah with the worst skin disease I have ever seen. She had multiple areas of hair loss, mostly over her face, legs, neck and belly, with patches of hair loss on her back and sides. All hairless areas were either crusted, or red and oozing. Yesterday we euthanized a dog that I had hoped was going to be a cruelty case. The owner brought her to the clinic 2 WEEKS after she had been hit by a car. She had nerve damage to her leg and an open wound. A bandage and splint were placed and the owner was instructed to bring the dog back the next day. Well they didn't.
