It's 3 am. I should be sleeping. I don't know if it's the story I read earlier or the fact that I just watched a show in which one of the characters dad dies or if I'm just completly ridiculous

Oh hun. :hugs: I want to say "everything happens for a reason" but I don't think I can even accept that right now. Sorry if my story irked you or made you feel guilty. I didn't mean to.
Everyone has a different relationship with their daughter. Like Emily and Brian, he still loves her even though she's done nothing but treat him like shit. We're lucky we have Tom and Brian, to be our dads when our own can't be them for us anymore. I guess that if there's no hope for a relationship with your birth dad (even just right now) you should focus on Tom, because he loves you and would do anything for you. He might not have been there every year of your life, but he's here now for all of those events your own father will miss out on.
It's a grieving time for everyone, it's okay to cry. I feel like I haven't cried enough. We all deal with greif our own way. I love you, and am always here for you love. :)
