New Year's Plans?

Hi there! My name is Veronica. I just joined and was wishing it were more active around here. Why don't we make it a resolution to make it more active this new year?

What are your plans for New Year's Eve? I'm undecided in spending it with cousins or stay at home and invite mom and her boyfriend over?

We're having our friends over for a day / night of casual board gaming and hanging out. I went and got all the snacks and supplies earlier. The first guest arrives tonight, but they're coming from out of town. Tomorrow we'll have the place open from probably noon until 2am. It's a pretty laid-back party, but it only costs us about what it would cost us to go out for a nice night out, and it's free for all of our friends, plus there's no fighting crowds or braving the cold or anything like that. We decided to do it one year maybe four or five years ago and ever since then every year people ask if we're doing it again.

That sounds good. I've been wanting to play some board games also. I still need to go and get some stuff from the store.

We are going to sit and reminisce I suppose. We had dear friends up for Christmas who were regrettably unable to stay for New Years. Maybe a little Absinthe and Scotch and watch the thing on TV.

My son was born 29 years ago today, so we have been having his birthday parties every year since! Mostly just family but it makes for a nice calm new years. I don't drink and don't enjoy loud crowded parties, so I prefer it! ANd since it has been snowing/raining/icing here all day, staying home sounds even better! And safer!
