Character Perception:
Chris isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box. He doesn't know what some words mean, gets confused by words that sound similar, and his spelling's far from stellar. He's probably an undiagnosed dyslexic, which would mean he didn't get anywhere near as much out of the education system as he could have. Despite this he's not done too badly out of life, and has earned the rank of Detective Constable on the police force. That isn't really much higher than being a uniformed Police Officer, but Chris is happy enough with this and has no desire to push for promotion.
Despite having spent more than ten years on the force, Chris is still very much considered to be the baby of the team. He's more cautious than the rest of them, and often appears to be more nervous though he insists this isn't the case. He's often the butt of jokes from the rest of CID, although this is something he takes with good grace. He's also the one that gets stuck with all the worst jobs, and has to wait his turn when he is allowed to join in with the more fun stuff. When interrogating he's always the one who has to play good cop, even though he would like to play bad cop once in a while. He'll often have paperwork pushed onto him, and it's only if he's in a really bad mood he'll refuse even if it's not his turn to deal with it.
Unfortunately being as much of a pushover as he is does make him vulnerable. Chris honestly doesn't mind being taken advantage of by the rest of his CID team, but he'll also allow others to even if he doesn't want to. Although Chris once refused to take bribes at all, he fell into corruption very easily just because he found it so difficult to stand his ground. It started as a one time thing, just a seemingly unimportant file that needed to be lost. He'd taken a loan off the person who'd asked him to do it, and because he'd yet to finish paying them back he did it. Things escalated from there, and he soon fell deep enough into corruption he didn't know how to get out without them telling the Guv about all the things he'd done.
After being found out though, he did work very hard to put things right, even going so far as to risk his life. He honestly felt guilty about it, and not just because he'd been found out.
He is a little discriminatory, but this is mostly out of ignorance. There are very few (if any) groups he truly dislikes, although there are several he firmly believes in stereotypes for. He is slightly homophobic, but only in the sense he's very cautious around them. He's been out clubbing quite happily with Shaz (even going so far as to wear make up) in a venue that he knew had quite a large gay turnout. The next day he did insist to Ray he'd kept his back against the wall. He also lied when Ray asked if he was wearing make up. On another occasion he was kept in a cell overnight with several gay men. He was unhappy and worried by this, but the next day he admitted that they were actually a lot like Ray. This is presumably a way of saying they weren't really that bad, although Ray did take offence to this.
He does occasionally use racial slurs, although this really is just ignorance rather than meaning anything actually offensive. He insists on making Spanish gracias/grassy arse jokes to Luigi despite him being Italian. He also uses any Italian jokes he can think of around him. He also comments on being concerned about a Welshman being next in line to the throne, whilst telling Viv (who's black, not Welsh) “No offence, Viv. I'm not a racialist”.
Chris likes to make jokes a lot; especially of the vulgar and/or immature variety. He's at his worst with Ray, although he's almost as bad the rest of the time, especially when he's got a few drinks inside him. He has matured a bit recently, but he still loves making stupid jokes whenever the opportunity presents itself.
He also enjoys drinking and video games, and he's a heavy smoker. He has tried quitting before, but just replaced smoking with eating and sniping at everyone because of the nicotine withdrawal. It was because Shaz got sick of him whining that he did start smoking again a few days later. He's also in the habit of chewing gum, so when he's not smoking he will often have gum in his mouth.
Chris has had nothing but bad luck with girls in the past. He once went to kiss a girl and ended up vomiting in her mouth because of how drunk he was. She did give him a second chance, but it obviously didn't last. Shaz was probably his first really successful relationship, and he's currently engaged to her. He loves her, and even though he can't help checking out other girls on occasion he doesn't pay any attention to anyone else's advances. There's very little he won't do for Shaz, and even though he does regularly mess up with her he'll persistently try and make things up with her until he's on her good side again.

Ticket: Found the ticket posted through his letter box after waking up. “Change of plan. Come to the designated location as soon as you read this. The changes will be explained to you when you get there.”
Inventory: Drivers licence, gun, ID/warrant card, car and house keys, eight cigarettes, a lighter, and his wallet containing twenty pounds thirty-six pence.
Additional Notes: Nothing I can think of. Chris is a bit of an idiot, but he's usually a pretty harmless idiot. Shipping wise, he loves and is engaged to Shaz. Even if Shaz wasn't in game he'd be unlikely to get with anyone else. He's a bit oblivious to flirting, and has never had much luck with girls before Shaz anyway.
