[Suddenly there's a booming voice that begins to narrate. It has no discernible source.]

At last Erk de Forever, the most famous of all adventurers, had found his rival! It was the most hideous man in the entire world, Clover Mash! Erk became angry.

[He's going to look around for the source, anyway. It might be futile, but dammit, he's going to try! And he's going to talk to the voice, too. ]

Ace, I hate to say it, but we all knew it was you writing those things. There's no reason to hide! After all, who could be ashamed of such literary merit?

The evil, putrid man tried to beg forgiveness, but Erk would not hear it. He roared in anger and picked up a boulder.

[The man who is apparently Erk does roar and does pick up a boulder. This isn't going well.]

[Great. Juuuust great. Nash is obviously wary of the boulder, but doesn't make a move to defend himself.]

C'mon, give it up. I don't want to fight you, and I don't think you want to fight me.

I can only claim to be a talker! Charm is for others to decide.

Do I not count as an "other" in this matter?

This is interesting. How many people can say they've met themselves without some medicinal assistance?

Anyone can say anything, can't they? They just might be lying.

How true! It's a shame those kinds of lies are usually easy to see through. Those kinds of drugs would be quite handy.

I don't know, I think I prefer simple lies to complex truths. Easier for my old brain to get a handle on. As for the drugs, maybe they could create two Alma Kinans.

[Hey look at that, there's a very strange looking animal that has suddenly taken a liking to Nash's foot.

Said animal looks like the one in the icon. It looks cute and harmless, and it's cute female owner happens to be nearby looking in another direction for something.]

[Animals! Why do they like Nash's feet?! He's almost immune to the cuteness, by now, but is trying to extract the thing via nonviolent means. After all, it has yet to pee on him! But he's so distracted by it he doesn't notice the cute female, woe!]

[Well, the cute animal isn't responding to Nash's attempts to extract it. And it's happily saying "Kwekee!" which is it's equivalent of a bark or meow.

And it still hasn't peed on him yet, and the poor purple haired girl is still looking for her pet.]

[Hasn't peed on him yet? That isn't good...

But though still comically struggling, Nash has noticed the girl. He's still a bit distressed.]

Hey! Hey, does this thing belong to you?
