Eating**

When I was a little tacker I was a vegetarian because, well, I didn't much enjoy meat (as I later found out this had something to do with my mothers fondness for very well done meat*), and I didn't like the idea of eating animals. Oh, and I really liked raw carrots.  As I got older, it became easier just to eat meat again, particularly when I saw ( Read more... )

oh poor piglets :( that is awful.
i think it's awesome, the decision you have made. Tim and i have certainly been eating a lot more vego/lot less meat since the Moyne household came into being. it's good, especially because i was brought up eating meat every day, and now i know i don't need to. i like meat too, and i don't think i'll stop eating it, but i definitely have a vague plan to explore my meat-eating ways and perhaps do some minimising of farm to piglets! (stop eating bacon?? i don't know about that!)

also, speaking of FOOD, i said to Fi today that we three should have dinner before the Cleaning thingy (i signed up yesterday). what do you think?

and. one more thing. i can't believe you don't like ONIONS!

I knew what you meant!!!
YAY... two cool chicks and cleaning... did you get the email telling you to bring a jar with you???
I would love to have dinner first, but, it will depend on my workies... I think (from memory - which means I am almost certainly wrong) that it kicks off at 6.30... so I might struggle to get there in time... if I am right that it is a 6.30 kick off, what about afterwards???

Oh, but I do like ONIONS, I just don't like them raw in a kebab, and I like TABOULI too, just not the junk that has been sitting around marinating all day... I like freshly made tabouli!
I am going to grab Singers book on ethical eating when I get to a bookshop next (unless anyone has a copy I can borrow before then!), you are most welcome to borrow it when I am done with it... it should have some good pointers as to how to go about ensuring that even if you do eat bacon, you do it in a minimum harm way!
