I have been reading "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand for the past few days and aside from looking INCREDIBLY SMART while reading it, It hasn't been the life altering book many claim it to be. That could just be because I am only at the fifth chapter and its mainly doing character development, but If it doesn't get interesting in the next few chapters ( Read more... )

I don't understand what's so great about Ayn Rand. Personally, I find her stuff kind of boring and recycled. Not to mention it's pretty geeky stuff.

If you are not excited yet by the thrills involved in the building of the John Galt line, you will not be excited by the rest of the book because that is the most exciting and upbeat part. Best to bail out now
